Just watched Apollo 13, good movie with cool cgi and filmwork in the ‘vomit comet’ good acting too makes this one watchable time and time again. (STILL waiting for Red Dwarf the movie to be released 😮 🙁 😡 )

Well, it sure beats Leeds City Council sending letters to me addressed to the garage i rented from them rather than to my house.

Now thats great news, i had been told she was sat derelict. just goes to show, believe half what you hear, quater of what you read and (almost) everything you see. 😉

Great work folks, looking forward to seeing her fly at last, only ever seen her on the ground, first time was at Finningly when i was an air cadet, and was well chuffed being allowed to sit in her right hand seat too.

Congrats Neal, been there and done that twice and i know it doesn’t feel any less special the second time either. remember your fatherly duties and get the lad to as many airfields and airshows as possable as he grows, and forget Peter and Jane books, get him on Flypast and Aeroplane monthly. 😀

all the best to you and your (growing) family. 😎

Great pics there, i was there that year too, in my ATC uniform with a girl from the Girls Venture Corps in uniform on my arm, wonder what ever happened to her, what ever her name was :diablo: . I got to sit in the Iroquis, that was the one that became G-HUEY iirc. wasn’t it damaged just after the show whilst being transported by road?. if i remember right that was indeed the Varsity that crashed taking the life of Mike Twite and the crew. What ever happened to the Mike Twite Trophy? i havn’t heard about it for some time.

As has been said meny times on this thread its a real shame if a sponsor can’t be found (I take it the lottery fund route has been tried). I only saw her flying once and that was at Zeltweg, and at some distance too.
You guys at de Havilland eng have done a great job in keping this old bird in the air, nice one and thanks.

(btw, is it just me or does red bull infact ‘give you wind’ 😮 < BURP!!! :diablo: )
