i have a brilliant idea, how about get Rafale and ask a favour from france and that is to have all the sonar data acoustics of Merlin given :diablo:

that way both will make sure things goes smooth and french with having frigate design consultant , scorpene and rafale if rafale happens i dont see why they wont do tht for 3 marlins :diablo:

I think there are quite a few old boys and girls out there, that may find this thread interesting. Even the young ones might be amused at life as it was then, back in the old days.
I can still remember my younger days, back in the 60s. I lived in a council house, which had a very large garden, spent many a happy day and evening playing with my toy cars, and soldiers. My friends also enjoyed this imaginative experience. Neighbours were more friendly in those days, so we had a good relationship with them. Although we as a family didn’t have much money, that didn’t matter. We didn’t have a TV set, but we had an old Valve Cossor Radio, and I spent many a happy hour listening to shortwave Radio transmissions. These stations were from all around the world, Europe, America ,Asia etc.
So lets see what you can say about your early life experience.:)

my dad sometimes tells me the same.

peoples were much warm and the neighbours were friendly.
teenagers were afraid of their parents/seniors more than now.
they actually cared for you and stuffs..
knwoledge wasnt so bookcentric less competition more creative space.
though my father was very well off.

though my dad is more of 70’s product when he was in college…

TV was here black and white ofcourse then telephone where you need to dial those numbers by hand not press buttons.
    and stuffs like that..

but heh i do love ww2 life dunno why[based on stories] but i do love life now due to technology :p
life has been better now, if someone can take it the way and match the way it progresses.

Back in the 60s my father played the Violin as a hobby,

I love violin and my moms dad was a AMAZing violin player!! ๐Ÿ™‚ moms family is all music family :p

Don use any anti-virus they are themselves a virus. :diablo:

anyways u can try Quickheal damn good.I have used it for 3 months.

    Quickheal Protection

Then there is AVG/Avast however AVG has issues with some firewalls and sometimes fails to perform.

    I’d recommend a mix of quickheal/Ad Aware/Anti-spyware/Zonealarm for a home pc user.

If you want to know more you can check article written by me on security for home users.

Plan to Test Mach 7 engine

Posted online: Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 0000 hrs Print Email

PUNE, DECEMBER 13 : The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is planning to conduct ground tests for the countryโ€™s first flight version of a Supersonic Combustion Ramjet (Scramjet) engine in Hyderabad next year. This is will be followed by the first Scramjet flight test in 2008.

The design of a flight version of the Scramjet engine is on and it will be ground tested in 2007, followed by a flight test a year later, Chief Controller R&D (Service Interaction), DRDO, Dr Prahlada, told The Indian Express on the sidelines of a conference on โ€˜Air Breathing Engines and Aerospace Propulsionโ€™ at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) here on Tuesday.

As per plan, the flight test will be carried out onboard an indigenous platform, a prototype of which has already been developed by DRDO. โ€œThe vehicle will be 7-m long and we have already developed a prototype for the test. It will enter a 20-second long flight to go up to mach 7,โ€ Dr Prahlada said. DRDO has already ground tested a scramjet engine to speeds in excess of Mach 2, he added. A Scramjet engine makes it possible to design smaller, lighter and faster aircraft as it takes oxygen needed for fuel combustion from the atmosphere itself instead of carrying liquid oxygen.

Apparently it has already been tested more than once and the first prototype[capsule one] will fly this 2007 january.
    so Scramjet has dual use.

    PRESS RELEASE

New Indian space capsule tested in the CIRA Plasma Wind Tunnel

During the test, a hypersonic speed of Mach 8 was reached, with a thermal flow of 2500 KW/m2, the highest ever reached to date in the Scirocco plasma wind tunnel, while temperatures in the order of 2000ยฐC were tried out on the nose of the capsule during the 150 seconds of exposure to the flow. The Indian organization declared itself fully satisfied with the tests, which did not fail to live up to expectations: the models did, indeed, resist the thermal stresses to which they were subjected

As Austin said Brahmos 2 might be there but it has clear double use.

If i was smart i would have gone for Mig 35 MKI’zed.

Some squadrons of Rafale with Mica and TOT of the seeker to use in Astraa.

A JV with russia for this deal if it goes to them, on carrier based Awacs with israel.
And extensive help in ATV SSN which noone other than russians will provide.

A 5th gen fighter on the road with them and UK (if the dumps JSF) and ifd Israel wants they can jump in too. (speculative)

How stealthy and effective “keeping in mind it’ll face U214″ the customized P28 is going to be when compared with this ” Meko CSL” or visby?

We might see some small structural changed as well.

My personal choice is Visby, looks real stealthy.
