Yes i’m 100% sure its a ABM. check BR.
akj because they are facing C101 Computer processor replaced N011M BARS with X and L bands! 😉 just a j/k.
anyways Star49 what is the chance of making the new transport craft India and Russia is designing ,”you saw the video right?” to transform in to a AWACS platform?
But I don’t believe that russia get’s any money for opening GLONASS to india – i believe they start a few glonass-m satellites for that. also the reports that india would develop glonass-k together with russia might be wrong; first of all glonass-k satellites are based on a russian bus, and second russia would never give up control about the system – it’s more about getting military grade signals.
I dont think so, Both India and Russia are capable of making GPS Satellites but putting them and the total cost involved is right now pretty steep for both.
Panarin from Roskosmos clearly said co-developement of Glonass-K with India where India will be making satellites too and launched from mostly russian launchers.
Its benefiting both they both are sharing the cost!
India isnt foolish to pour money if it was said only having “P” Grade signals which many countries does.
It will be controlled by both of them, russia could always have chosen China over India which has more liquid cash to pour but didnt, simple We dont have any conflict or interests that collides.
I’ll try to contact someone from ISRO and lets c, whats actually going on.
Completely Agree with you Sens specially when someone is going against N011M BARS which has both x and L [Nato D and I] band isnt it? 😛
Extro > Well, Glonass will be now from shared budget, specially the newer Glonass-K, JV’s with developing countries are indeed giving Russians more budget for their core part – pay scales etc etc.
anyways how much a Gentleman Cadet gets paid in russia? or a leutnant?
188 Billion Dollars.. Holy Crap!!!
That can fund 2 fifth gen, DDX class Destroyers, 5 fleet full carrier force and what not…..
MIG 29K Aircraft Simulator with AVIOR Laser System
Acting in close cooperation with the Russian aircraft manufacturer MiG, Rheinmetall Defence Electronics will be supplying the Indian Navy with a full-mission simulator complete with AVIOR laser system for the carrier variant of its MiG 29K fighter planes.
The training suite will be equipped with the AVIOR laser system, which will also be used in the Tornado flight simulator of the German Air Force. Thanks to the latest laser technology, AVIOR offers a brilliant picture with very high contrast levels.
For this particular project, it will ensure an exceptionally high degree of realism in simulating take-offs and landings on an aircraft carrier. In simulating a night landing, for example, the lights of the runway can be simulated extremely vividly. Owing to the enhanced image contrast, the AVIOR laser projection system depicts the day and night view much more realistically than other systems.
The pic is on the site :diablo:

umm hold on i have to search it,
ok here you go http://pakistanidefenceforum.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=60899&view=findpost&p=828073
but i think you cannot view it until you register.
There were some very nice informations, really good to see em making such expos.
Was browsing a bit came through this in pdf, He went to I deas 2006 a defence expo in Pakistan, he said this there.
On the SAAB stall the ERIEYE was also present. The guy admitted that it doesn’t provide complete 360degree coverage it has some blind zones as any other radar has. I asked him ” How do you compare it with Phalcon AWACS ?” he replied ” BETTER! this is erieye has a low operational cost works on S-band which gives it better jamming capablities than Phalcon which operates on X band which is good for better tracking range but not jamming capabilites. He also told that It CAN be operated on Link 16 If US or NATO allows, as Sweden is a non-NATO country.”
I think with countries having small carriers like India these type pf heli ships can be of immense important.
small carrier carrying all planes without any heli and these carrying all ASW Helis and if space is there a AEW craft?
Wasnt there a news Brahmos being 3 carried by MKI and some very minor changes required?
any idea what would be the changes?
Raptor all the way but sadly i might not see such a plane with IAF till i’m 40.
oh well as of now i really like the MKI’s looks pretty meaner if you ignore the hyperpower of raptor.
Dream plane would be tailless MCA spinning in the hair yet maintaining fixed altitude …..i guess when i’m 45? 🙁
IMHO SD10 and Indian Astra are in the same lague.
R77 is in diff league and so is Aim120D being the Best.
SD10 and Astra both doesnt has laser proximity fuze but Astra’s laser is under developement, so is SD10’s i guess.
