All the same pen by the look of it which is unusual and most sign with their squadrons under neath, again odd but without seeing the book up close difficult to tell. Toms looks fine for example

Without reading this thread id already thought how much grey hair there is in the latest FP, worrying. The thing is do I volunteer, no always to busy and wouldnt have the commitment.

Another sport with a similiar issue is rallying. Weve just spent 5 days in Wales at the WRC, kids hardly any. The organisers to their credit had set up family friendly stages on the Saturday and Sunday, we went to Chirk, after spending 1.5 hours to get in it was immediately noticeable how many “families” headed for the exit after only one or two cars had come through. IMHO this was because you were positioned to far away from the cars in a safe boring position where you got none of the excitement of been in a forrest been hit in the face with mud or putting yourself in a saft place because its exciting to be that close to a car.

The point of the above is that I think the masses have a very low tolerance level and the play station generation seem to expect instant gratification, we have got to allow kids acces to things and also take away the fear of been perceived as a nerd by their piers and sorry I dont have the answers

Just noted the planned taxi on 25th November is a Monday, shame could not be brought forward to the Sunday as its the Members day at Robin Hood for XH558 on the Saturday and could have tied the two together

    Ian

after a little digging ive found the Hi 8 tape i took of the day of arrival 🙂

    little problem……………….

A, The tapes have not been viewed for twenty years so do not know if they still play
B, Can not charge the camcorder
C, I do not have the necessary equipment to get the tape on to the PC 🙁

Your going to have to leave this with me so i can see what i can do, presumably there will be something i can play the tapes on and transfer to PC but will have to do a bit of digging. (If any one has any advice on this, would be appreciated)

in the mean time keep up the excellent work 🙂

Ianf, youve probably already seen them but have a look at page 15, post 435 for arrival shots at Elvington. Hope you arent planing on getting her stuck in the mud as she was towed to museum after arrival in the reenactment! Ive got video footage somewhere of that day (I think) that I will have to dig out one day.

Wonder if the new owner will change the colours and in twenty years time we will all be saying she should be put back into her sun burst colours in the same way we talk about a certain red spitfire?
