Has the Hurricane still got the “bird” kill markings on the other side?
Nice comments from Chris Evans this morning on radio 2 at 8.18 followed by ELO Mr blue sky. He didn’t have to say anything but did which I believe was respectful
Interesting article with different perspective
The future proposal was spoken about at length at the VTS supporters club day in February, the rational and thought process were made clear at the time
Was at the silverstone classic yesterday. Someone was offering a Spitfire experience for £35 a go on the hour which sold out. For this you got talked around the cockpit of a plastic replica coded J-EJ while you sat in it and then got to start the engine. Must have been about 150 people around it each time they started the lawn mower engine hidden inside. Unsure where the money went but they had a spot in the RAF village
.
A speaker was on the floor in front of me, it was loud and i found him b****y irritating. I think the problem was he hardly shut up and when he did he left the microphone open so there was a constant noise. He wasnt there last year so perhaps this year grated more.
More music, bring back Pomp and Circumstance in the lead up to the balbo, play 633 squadron and the twirly bits out of BoB
They all left after the show together in a stream. Didn’t realise they were so popular.
This is the one that was more or less dumped at Coventry it 1980’s isn’t it?
I will buy this, hopefully the horrid paper in V2 has gone along with the terrible mistakes etc, however I do not believe it will ever compare to that volume due to the fact that so many have now passed and I was lucky enough to meet so many whilst they signed that volume which, sadly cannot be done now. Still have the memories though, Bazil and his picnic etc
Watch the M1 traffic for the F1 at Silverstone as well
So when is the last flight to Pima?
Tim, have a look on flickr for someone called “Nickthebee” he has a few air to ground shots
Someone on flickr had taken air to ground shots of brunty last week. Amongst the 747s could be viewed the shackelton fuselage
Just wondering about the meteor display (I also saw it at Abingdon on Sunday). Was the intended flight path deviated from at one point when still in formation hence when separated only a quick pass before landing?
