T-50 will no doubt suffer from this problem and need a major overhaul, the inlets and the all moving vertical tails for RCS reason for example; which in the inlets case will effect the weapons bays.
oh. how much you are ready to put on this, an armchair aircraft designer?
Very sadly Vassily was killed in a flood in 2003
actually, it was absurd death – he tried to save his car that started to slide down to river in neighborhoods of infamous Krymsk (he was transitioned to airbase nearby)…rivers there have very fast flow and behave insidiously as we know:(
What else was shown in this video presentation?
nothing else T-50 related
Are you trying to be obtuse on purpose? Do you seriously think that things like aircraft are built without drawings/computer modeling? Do you think they just sort of built it on the fly hoping that when they were done there would be space for weapons? Do you have any idea how manufacturing works?
Take a good look at the changes from the T-10 to the production model Flanker, nuff said.
and what? changes were made w/out drawings?
As I remember correctly, there was video presentation on MAKS 2011 showing PAK FA carrying 4 Kh-58USHKE missiles in its main weapon bays.
Correct. Moreover, T-50 MWB size literally was driven by size that KTRV could shrink X-58 to, being a subject of many cabinet battles.
^^ Arnt those stuff more of paralay imagination then the real stuff
not quite correct…first of all, these are not Paralay’s renderings
second, look at this official (while quite old) schematics with lower half showing generic 5-gen engine with ejector TVC nozzle. Sukhoi was actively studying ejector nozzles on aircraft in mid of this decade AFAIK
stealthized Mi-383 looks much weirder;)
HAHAHA There is no surprise 🙂

They couldn’t manage to redesign the Flanker that into a version that uses both S-ducts and has internal bays of the size needed
we couldn’t do what? to build your what-if Flanker? no, thanks, we have aircraft designers to do the job
plus of course the cost and complexity of mass producing an S-duct equiped fighter.
it’s just your uneducated guess that S-duct represents something hardly achievable in design and manufacturing. T-50 has something that F-22 doesn’t have – variable intake ramp that allows it to have comparable speed envelope to F-22 without such a monsters as F119s are, dealing with RCS in a manner as Boeing did on F-32 PWSC.
of course, you can think that you smarter than Sukhoi and Boeing guys, but I think that it’s not the case
And Boeings JSF proposal was a dismal failure from the start and was only kept in the game for so long so it would appear there was a competition.
I think that another revelation for you will be that both Boeing and Lockheed projects have fully met RFP RCS specifications
Flateric, what about the surprise you were talking 3 weeks ago ?:)
it didn’t happen…what should we’ve seen? someone guesses were quite correct. I hope you will excuse me if I will omit exact reasons.
probably I should be more cautious with spilling a beans as it brings bad luck :/
it’s not 129. it’s ’30’
J-20 is 21.26 meters long, excluding pitot, according to official brochure
this placard photos first appeared on the web as early as 9 months ago
http://revelation.blog.china.com/201112/9100095.html
what makes you think that it’s _official_ though and that this is ‘brochure’?
I really don’t know where and at what circumstances these placards were photographed and how credible data source is – can you explain?
Thanks. How’s the program going? It’s taken almost a decade since the Mi-38 was first unveiled. Any hope of entering service in the next few years? Or at least this decade?
Funding is flowing in along with Ka-62. But many have concerns that Mi-38 went too far from Mi-8/17 replacement (what it thought to be initially) – in short, yes – chopper have better performance but will cost [much] more and will the customer ready to pay for it? there are two proposed military versions, Mi-383s, one of them being NH-90-style faceted stealthized design with four-post landing gears – but not sure if Army will want to pay even more for that.
probably good ol’ 901 will be flown at the show.
bingo
