    Well, they also somewhat bite Pogosyan that had promised 50-2 to be in the air till the end of 2010. From the other hand, it made information space free for J-20:) Those who involved in test program will chuckle at least once while reading article.

    logically, E-721 offered by MiG as T-50 rival design, would gain much from 1.42 experience – for example, habit to loose…

    what you think will be in other place
    it shouldn’t be THAT big – you can check what the size were planned side-mounted arrays on Raptor – two tiny diamond-shaped units

    YF-22, YF-23, X-35 and X-32 was slow in serial production, too!:D

    But as we’ve noted before, those leading edge devices are not radars, so that leaves a possible of three radar sets.

    not first one AFAIK
    we had knowledge or even probes of RAMs planned for Senior Ice as early as mid 80s. there were some leaks at Pico Rivera
    not sure for Senior Trend

    Nighthawk is aluminium bird covered with stone age technology heavy weather-sensitive crisp RAM – may be more advanced variant then in her early years but still unrelevant to today standarts. May be RAS was of interest for technical intelligence. It would grab anything if it can reach it easily whatever it should be.

    BTW, rumors are that those big scary 2D nozzles tested way back on T-10 flying lab were for somewhat bigger than T-10 family…;)

    Speculative renditions based on 2008 patent design

    Please note that fact that patent is not classified, means that it probably one of the dismissed iterations. For example, T-50 blocker patent was filed long ago, had successfuly passed expertise…and never appeared in open sources. Some say nozzle is pretty old stuff designed back then for Izd.20 (AL-41F)
