SD-10, the people you
see on BR are basically well settled in life, well
educated and basically happyDefinitely no disrespect. And excuses here please if I’ve somehow
“unknowingly” ventured in something I shouldn’t. But, bear in mind here that I am
but being honest and being open about myself. So hold those fire, people!!!BR/other Indian web communities
While I am not familiar with BR, in my view however,
some East Indian sites I’ve come across seems typically leaning
towards the militant. Its members largely of people that are highly
mischievous; immaturly juvenile; and BAD TEMPERED.My perception only of course. Not a scientific finding.
For this reason; and to avoid controntation; no matter how
exciting or challenging the topic, I avoid communities from the region. But, I do
know this much: Chinese does engage themselves in those sites.Chinese members take
part in discussions there, and seem to
put their point across well.By that, am I correct to think that
the area you are trying to steer us towards is
language proficiency and education???If so, read “lesser-educated HAVE NO TIME topic” a wee lower:
However, if what you are driving at is how other
racial groups interacts with the East Indian community, then
the following should dispell any misconceptions.I personally know of Chinese as well as Caucasians; cool and quality people too mind you; male as well as female; entering into intermarrital relations with East Indians in my city. However, as in usual cases, in the initial stages, the bride and groom will say (Screw you!) and give their fingers to both families. But, here’s the catch: ultimately, those colored eye glasses will have to come off because family is family no matter how the ball bounces.
About the East Indian community
While I do notice a degree of bias here, it must be
agreed here however that East Indians, like their Chinese and
western counterparts, too, have plenty to show for.Examples: East Indians, too, populates some of the more
prominent of careers and positions in our siociety. Along with the Chinese,
they hold some of the more demanding of positions in the R&D departments
of some of the world’s finest (Straight from my kid’s mouth). They are amongst the best in the field of actuarial science,
an occupation reserved only for people from the top 10 listing in the field of mathmatic.
My friend’s hairs went gray overnight because of the brain usagaes. They are profesors of our universities,
doctors, nurses, and much much more. But, one thing
they have which is in over abundance…“They are argumentitive!!!!” 🙂
The lesser-educated people simply HAVE NO TIME
for all this.. they are all more worried about how to feed their
families, how to handle work-pressures and the like. The other day, a very close friend of the family related to us
an experience they had in one of their holiday trips in a cruiseship.
He related to us that the trip took them from the mideast all the way to India.
He then related to us that, as soon as the ship docked in this Indian port city
and that when they were finally permitted to go to ashore, that the first thing they
notice is that there in fact is three levels of society in India.The first tier: The very discreet people; well to do;
and, undeniably educated. This group is very distinct. They keep
themselves away from the rest of the madnening crowd. The second tier: The middle class who are in a sense
very snobby (Towards the unfortunate ones within their own
community); people who are generally well trained in what they
do, and well rared (very polite) to visitors/foreigners.The last layer: The poor, the malnourished, the largely
ignored and forgotten of India; these are the victims of the crimes against
humanity which the whole world must be held responsible. And, you think prostitution’s bad in HK, Beijing, Tokyo, NYC,
or London??? Here, once you go outside the cruiseship terminal,
you’ll notice a wholy different world — girls by the bus loads and still within
the primes of their low teens, are said to line the streets of this city for survival. My friends cried at the experience.
Why am I telling you guys
all of this??? The message: We are all no
different from one another!!!

What does ‘fishbed’ mean anyway.? A bed of fish? The bed upon which fish sleep ??
And i misunderstood ‘fagot’ for a long time. Only recently did i find out that it meant a ‘bundle of sticks tied together’ 😀Darn… I promised OC I’d stop this. But, one
thing lead to another, I just couldn’t stay away. How can this be???
Why is it that I can’t resist the temptation???Anyway, here’s another riddle:
how’s about the name Frogfoot???
Yes Frogfoot!!! What is a Frogfoot??? I mean don’t you people
find these names lame to almost demeaning???Anyway, imagine for a moment that, if supposingly, India
become the next superpower which is undeniably very much in
the horizon; India phobia I’m sure will start to show its face in the west.
If and when that happens, what will they name the LCA/MCA?This much I know: I doubt that they will designate
the LCA/MCA the Bengal Tiger. Reason: The name, however little the affect,
does influence the psyches of flyboys when in the air. Now, to the Fagot:
While I don’t know where the name cometh. In this day
and age however, If we add an additional “g” to it, I believe the term Fagot
implies more or less that of a person’s lifestyle preference.I’m sure the west wouldn’t
assign names like that to many of their outta this
world cool cool birds of preys.

Please bear in mind here that “there was no

Please do not confuse yourself with the two. Finally: I concede to defeat, OC. I just can’t
handle Judge Judy. She always makes me go crazy when she’s

produced by RussiaOoops!!! 🙂 I knew I couldn’t have gotten
away with that one as simply and as easy as thought.
But, I’m having fun anyway, are you, OC?You still have yet to explain how this is in any way
disrespectful. You are conveniently ignoring the fact that most of the NATO designators
were asigned when the true type names were not knownAnd you, my friend, failed to convince some of us as to why
it is that the Russian and the Chinese are still being sold in the world’s stages
as that evil entity; or painted still as that danger that the world should be wary of;
when in fact the one that the world fears most, is deemed discreetly, as none other but
“Russia’s and China’s drummed up by and Made by America’s rival itself. Why would they need to?
US/NATO type designations have always
been available in the open pressI thought I was the one
that’s suppose to be asking the
questions here, OC??? 🙂Well… In any case, not all true, my friend!!!
Example: Many posters in the net still asks the question “who’s
plane is that” when it’s unmistakably a Hornet.Come to think of it, what a good idea!!! I think the eastern hemisphere
should start applying this A/C IDing methode to their uses as well, and maybe,
just maybe, assign the name Foxbat to the F-15 instead of the MiG-25…Don’t you think that’s a cool idea, OC???
You’re taking a simple issue and trying to
distort it into a global conspiracy to degrade the Soviets/Russians
and the Chinese. Frankly, they can call our aircraft whatever
they wish. We use our own designators anywayNo I’m not, OC. But you, on the other hand, seems actually the
one taking this a tad over seriously. I mean you are the one who had challenged me
openly about this issue from the very start to this very present. My intentions: I was merely to try and shed some light on
an age old and obsolete practice — a practice I believe carries with it an air of bias.
It’s an outdated practice, OC, unless, of course, you “still prefers” to
have Russia and China as enemy number 1 when, in all truth, the two had
poured their hearts out to you looking for a friendly hand shake. Then why the constant argument?
I think I can confidently
say here that I too am also entitled to that question.
Don’t you agree, OC???Again, you still
haven’t explained why this is even
remotely derogatoryDerogatory: Well… I don’t know if it should be put
that strongly, but, there is an air of bias to the names. I mean
how would you like it if for example something you thought
was a smart move somehow, “backfired” on you 🙂 ???And what on earth is a Foxbat anyway?
Can’t find it on Websters. Is it some kind of a nocturnal Aussie
or Siberian rabid infected bat or something???How’s about Fishbed? Also not in the
dictionary by my accounts. Is it a feeding ground/frenzy for
creatures of the North Sea or something???But, one name which could have worked extremely well
and which can indeed implant a vision or an image of fear in the air if
via the “F” methode is the name “Firestorm“. However, I’ve not seen its use.
Cool name indeed. Could I somehow have missed it???Anyway, let call it a draw, OC… You refuses to yield and so did I.

As I said they are dynastical names, but if it was named by Chinese, I would expext it to either start from Xia,Shang, Zhou, and proceed in that fashion, not the way it is like today. And Yuan Class, why would PLAN name SSN Yuan when other more appropriate names such as Qin (note Qin not the other one, Qing), Tang and etc are still aviliable?
Like I said, I think it is named by some US navy dude with a Chinese History book in his hand, and just flipped aroung to get the name they liked.Genghis Khan was the ruler of Yuan China. Mongolia was later
incorporated into China as a province and still is (Inner). I see the naming of an SSNB after
the Yuen Dynasty a tribute to the Mongolian Chinese of Greater China.

OK!!! OK!!!
How’s about “BIG BIRD” then for the Raptor. I mean, it’s
quite a name don’t you think? A plane from the Mr. Roger’s and the “Big Bird’s”
generation and something that’s towering and massive???It does have a ring to it too, don’t you thnink???

you feel it isn’t if you were the one that made the remarks???Standards! Standards,

will be considered a lackey nation.Russian and Chinese goods deserves just
as much respect and recognition as the Typhoon; as the
Tornado; as the Jaguar; or as the Teja!!!I mean, can you imagine the west agreeing to a name/label i.e.,
“The “XYZ-ClayPigeon or, Winnie the Poo”, for the Typhoon; for the Tornado; for the Jaguar;
for the Rafale; for the Grippen; or for the F-2 and the LCA “???Anyway, I’m merely trying to
draw attention to this lame practice. I mean
I too do not view it a big deal!!!But, it is a subject

That’s my impression about the subs too—Ming, Han, Xia, Song class—those are named by the US too. Chinese articles always pertain to the ships via their project designations. The US creates these designations because its a lot easy to call them such like “Song class subs” instead of “Project 039 subs”. The designations are meant to be easy to roll off the tongue and easier to hear through the radio.Crob, since I had a couple
of years of Mandarin in my C years, I can
confidently say this much:– Ming (Chinese Dynasty; precedes Qing/Manchu rule)
– Han (Again, Chinese Dynasty; pre-Chin I think; hence Han Chinese)
– Xia (Again Chinese Dynasty; waring days prior to Kublai Khan)
– Song (Again Chinese Dynasty; dynasty that fought Mongol invasion)If the names were US creations, then the US sure’s the
heck knows more than the average Chinese does as to what’s
brewing inside China. Because, there’s now supposedly another sub on
the horizon and its rumored the Yuan Class (Genghis Khan). So, how can the US manage to name a vessel that doesn’t even officialy exist yet???
China have a tendency of following
the US in naming methods and practices and classifying
ships is no exception to this fact.

Well, vortex, I gave you the chance, but what you do? You continue with your insults. Coming from a country which had opium stuffed down its throat by a “great” power through two wars, I find your views extremely offensive. Perhaps you would like me to still call your piece of land the land of slaverey???I said that I dont believe that LeeBryon should bring the sexual perversion stuff into this discussion, but what about you? why are you bringing such insults against another group of people?
I give you a final chance to remove your thoughtless remarks, as I dont like to insult other people, but if pushed to the limits, I WILL return the favor.
You must remember, Hydro,
Those opiums were actually processed in Vortexland. The opium crew:
Vortex peasants who on the average still couldn’t speak a single word of English, never mind
the privilages of having English as a proud and official Vortexland language.Hey! Don’t believe me???
I read it in my neighbourhood library, the Ottawa Library
