You’re assuming a lot:
1. If your close enough to get a fix on the F-22 by it’s radar signals, then why don’t you have a AIM-120 inbound already?
2. As soon as you launch the F-22 will lock you up and launch, thanks to the MLD.
3. The killbox for any active missile against the F-22 will be MUCH smaller than for the AMRAAM headed your way.
4. Technology does not stand still. Just as ESMs are getting better, so is the F-22/35’s ability to create better LPI signals.
So what is your take on the original question: can the ALR-94 do #1, 2, 3, 4 described above against the APG-77?

If anything has a chance, it’s the F-22 in detecting itself.

Just on the AWACS front, Russia has a few dozen A-50s. The USN alone has twice as many E-2 Hawkeyes in active air wings (not counting training wings). Now throw in the 65+ E-3 Sentrys.
Let’s look at air tankers:
Russia has 53 Ilyushin Il-78 while the USAF alone has 417 KC-135s and 59 KC-10s.
Please, it’s not even a contest.

Points to ponder:
1. What radar is going to see the tankers (as it will be the among the main targets during the “first day of war” phase)?
2. Any fighters using their radar to hunt for said tankers will be quickly visited by an F-22/35.
3. Any AWACS that goes up to support said hunt will also quickly be visited.
4. The DoD is already researching a “self defense missile”. This functionality may be combined with the Aim-9 replacement. If so, any long-range “AWACS-killer” missile can be attacked by more than jamming.
5. The longer range of the F-22/35 ensures that the tankers are farther away from the front lines.
The key question is how many Viper/Eagle/SH will get through to deliver it’s weapons (mostly two pylons worth, IOW the same as internal F-35) and of those, how many will survive the trip back.

By “break” I meant that the closer you got to #4, the easier it would be to take a shot. If you were able to detect the radar (#1), get a bearing (#2), get an origin (#3), but never get a vector (#4) then taking a shot would be very difficult. You would have to wait for more radar intercepts, an IRST (if the F-22 is close enough), your own radar, or off-board data in order to continue the missile shot.

No modern radar set uses constant beam-on-target tracking to obtain the other guy’s vector. No modern ‘RWR’ works that way either.
I did not say constant or uninterrupted. You just need a few hits to get the target’s velocity/vector.

Not even close. Think of it this way: if the F-22 is 200nm away or 20nm away makes a HUGE difference on how you will react.

Here is Gilmore’s testimony before congress. He does mention the possibility of needing a spoiler for the B, but that it will have to wait till further in teh test program to know for sure.
