Interesting to see Astraeus leaseing the aircraft. Wonder if they want ED Force One once Maiden are done with it!

Great shots there! Does MME have a TOM 757 based?

MME has a 7,500 metre runway up at NCL we have a 7,600 meter runway and last year we handled a 747 twice a week for just under a month when there was one operating on behalf of Monarch. So MME could proberly handle a heavy. The last 747 “type” that i can think of that landed there was Air Force one a few years ago.

MME also takes in allot of Mil charters for the Near by Catterick Garrison so im guessing there may be the odd heavy operating.

I think the back part of the 757 had been converted to carry cargo for the bands gear, so would that make the aircraft tail heavy ? Or would the cargo be evenly spread amongst the other passenger holds.

Im asumeing “Ed Force One” is an ETOPS equipped 757?

Here is a report from Sky News.

Bruce also did a bit of presenting on wings a few years ago. Highlights include Bruce having a little too much fun in a 727.

The Jet2 route out of NCL has been struggling for while! The route is much more suited to Flybe.

Nice touch by Flybe today sticking a Bilboard outside of NCL parked directly across from where the Jet2 check in desks are placed!

Ah thats great mate! I was thinking about trying for the ticket desk up here at NCL but then thought to my self i need to get a bit more experience on checking in the main stream airlines such as BA and KLM. So today i started on the KLM roster. Im either going to try for ticket desk or maybe have a look at dispatch.

Loverly set of pics there mate!

How are things over GA side now? Been watching the Gill hanger slowly dissappear from the Main terminal such a shame but at least you guys at the Acadamy get something out of it!

Did you happen to catch the Farnair Fokker that was in this week? Any idea what she was here for? I watched her leave the other night she sounded like a Zepplin taking off!

EK from NCL is a very good option, its proving to be a nice route for the North nice flight times through check to any where on the EK network. Useing the A330-200.
