nothing is happening stop going into a debate over some nonsense.

    Are you a Mod??

All people are doing is discussing the merits of such a route there is nothing wrong with that. If you have nothing to contrebute dont post.

Not only that, but it is easier for an airline to give an aircraft back to a leasing company, rather than being lumbered with having to sell it directly themselves.

    indeed so.

Easyiest way to check if your on a leased aircraft is the GINFO database or when your board the aircraft by the front left hand door there should be a little sign saying who operates the aircraft.

So for example easyjets 737s are all leased so there sign should say this aircraft is owned by ABC leasing on behalf of easyjet.

Just be thankful they wouldn’t use a 737 like a certain low cost airline did a few months back to canada What was it 7 hour flight 3 stops.

The last I recall reading was that VS had deffered there A-380’s to 2013 , They will surely buy the A380 as its per seat fuel burn figures look good and SRB just recently said that he expects the aircraft to make good money for them . I think that they’ll exercize the rights to the 787’s within 24 months or so as its really getting tight up there with deliveries of the jet . I can also see them order A350-1000’s in some point in time .

Ah i see. I hope they keep the 747s on not only do they have the best names there all pretty young aircraft they can show airbus hows to fly in style instead of some whale of an A380! :dev2:

They say its replacing the A340-300’s it cant replace the 600’s yet can they?

    James

You have to remeber mate that most of Virgins aircraft are leased they dont own them so really they can get rid of the A340 when ever they want.

Im pretty sure i read somewhere that VS would be keeping the 747 on for a while yet until or should i say if VS get the A380.
