😀 What people will do just to see a 747. Gets boring seeing them at MSE and flying over where I live: . Then again I guess NCL dont have 747’s flying in all the time.

PS Hope you get some shots :p

They are indeed a rare thing up here but at least when they come to NCL they aint got birds nesting in there flight decks like some of the ones stored at MSE:diablo:

    Monarch: 767.
    World: MD-11
    Omani:DC-10.

30’s quite a number of aircraft nightstopping, who are they all? Does NCL have enough stands for over 30 at night? If the Emirates is coming in and departing 90mins later at lunchtime, why would you need room for a 777 during the night?

NCL is having new stands built even then i dont think it will do much good is we get an aircraft go tech.

Manston: EK is the first scheduled long haul newcastle has ever had. Rumor has it CO are interested.

Ek gets an airbridge purely because its what they expect from any airport they fly into. They are a premier Airline and expect the best. Stand 9 is used as it is the most capable for a long Haul aircraft it can handle the A330 with ease. Stand Nine also has the biggest lounge at NCL.

Also NCL has only 3 bus’s for the entire airport and these are in high demand in the mornings in High Season which is when Ek will be operating there flight. Plus NCL is going to have upwards of 30 aircraft night stopping this summer possibley more when Jet2 decide what there going to base. Finding room for an 777 could be tricky.

    NCL has 3 airbridges:

Stand 3: Almost exclusively used by British airways.
The new Stand 9: This is our Long Haul Aircraft stand i belive. Also i belive that once in a blue moon when we get a 747 in they will use this stand.
    And i think stand 15.
