thanks, by the way interesting web page, about that it would not make sense to use it in a hypersonic cruise vehicle intended to fly in or on top of the atmosphere, well im not so sure, because the altitude problems are for any reaction propulsion system, so i think that the exhaust shape is important, it could be an good idea that nozzle in such vehicle.
Do you remember the space shutle replacement proyect???, that design uses an special variable exhaust (for height efficiency) anybody have an pic of this system, and the falcon also uses that????
well hypersonic aerodynamics are very very boring, the engine design is the true challenge, suposely the machine will use an ramjet-scramjet???, hell, there are not others alternatives (like MHD propulsion)????
there is no doubth about the f16, but maybe youre confusing f15a with f15c
The point is that in the 60s,70s,80s, always the media have said that the russians fighters sucks (propaganda), only in recent years we start to discuss more objetively that tech..
I find this sentance is illogical. The Kfir, being a Mirage type fighter, has a much better performance in dogfights than the F-4E.
I agreed, i dont think that the Airsande plus report is good, but anyway it says good things about the flogy…
flogger
howeve there is a myth that the Flogger was less agile than the MiG-21 since the MiG-21 as the MiG-23 has 8Gs and 8.5Gs limits and the instant turn rate is quit similar around the 12-13 degres/sec
Yes maybe youre right, but thats relative (i have discussed that structural-aerodynamics factors before) also depends of the engine efficiency, i think that the standar flogy is better in close combat than the f4,f15a,f14 (that combat-fixed v wing is no sooo dramaticall), and maybe (only maybe) f18, but against f16 i dont see any choice (but well again that is relative)
Also the f16 have problems like the poor wing area and the bad designed unstable system
so what makes many of you love the other light weight single engined aircraft over the F-16?
Well im not an fanatic, but i think that the reason is the su27
]transverse piece area, the rivets increase the deformation “pressure”,etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,e tc,etc, etc, etc, there are more blablablablabla comparing welding/riveting
I dont disagreed with anyone as you see, again i repeated that expaining others details, that topic is very complex, you need an vectorial-compound forces, material analysis, even graphics, and more blablabla (as i like to say)

Well i dont know why always the people compare the flogy with the falkyn 🙂 (diferent generations), a more interesting comparation would be dogfight flogy vs f15a (yes diferent generations also, but is more interesting)
Well aerospacetech, you have some performance data about the su15,tm, the radar and irst sistem???(if it have)
thanks
Sorry, but I am a process engineer for assembly of aerostructures and according to all available riveting instructions (specifications) (for russian, american and french rivets) the procedure is the same as I already wrote
Yes the pocedure is right, but the atributes are wrong, anyway you can weld aluminium with plasma-protection (inert gases????)???
An twin engined mig21??????? (is a very drasticall afirmation)
anyway i always think about argon-plasma weding in aluminium, is posible????
