incredible confussion;
the flogger ML-F corner speed (obviusly lower than the posted above) is at 8gs, the f14 corner speed is at 6.5gs (and is much higher that the miraculous 300knots!!!), that is the max f14 structural g limit, an what the hell is 7.5gs at mach2!!!! ahhh Mr Spike….., now its obvius that the 23 have much better turn at medium dogfigh speeds (above 400knots) better climb and acceleration
the 23s was always considered by russians pilots as an machine simpler an easy to fly, i have read so much cuantify of stupit “facts”, like that the 23s is harder to mantein than the f14s :rolleyes:
again with the same, the f14 -even F4!!- is better to anything that is not american (tornado-flogger)..bla,bla,bla, anyway i had read such cuantify of xperts “facts” that is one more ray in the tiger .
go america, gooo!!!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
its interesting, the vietnam war obviusly infuenced in the american air warfare dogma, what would be happened if the USA would never get involved in the war?? the technology would be diferent?????
Yes the f12 infastructure would have to be greate, the engines and airframe are complicated to mantain, but, what about to reduce the spectatives, reducing the speed and the use of an aluminium-titanium mix airframe, including the use of other or simpler engines, the conformal missiles load would be practical to that machine???, it could be interesting the speculation of the performance of the f12 “practical” combat plane (range,speed,weapon load),how many missiles it could carry?, what kind of radar ?, i think that as air-superiority it would be great, flying over enemy SAMs with realtive security, controling the skyes with the AIM-47-54
the europeans had M3 interceptor proyects????
incredible cuantify of scrap posted in this las page….
Sens, again with that 5gs…supersonic…
there are other factors much more important, i dont remember the dilatation coeficients or the thermal conductivity of the diferent class off the steel -titanium (i think that the steel have better themal conduvtivity) etc…
yes the titanium is better, but isnt practical to build an titanium squadron
is hard to construct 1200 titanium planes for that flight requierements
belenko,belenko,belenko……i cant believe that there is so much trust about that book and their “facts”
is complicated, isnt sooo simple;
which plane can sustain better speed at better heigh???, the range at such speed/heigh???, the maneuverability at such speed/heigh???, the EF have an supersonic agility, thats very important, but how much energy it could lose???, is practical???, sadly i dont have numbers…
maybe the EF have better engines and the Rafale have better aerodynamics, maybe, but thats also relative again with speed/heigh, electronics are an versatile factor (but not the fbw-airframe relation).
bahhh (againn) 😀 , well i dont want to know anything more about this thread, im very tired to disscuss with aviation fans that dont understand the aero-design basics, and believe in a blinded way in the sources that they want to belief (Sens):rolleyes:, saying that f14 is better than mig23 or BVR capacity suck etc…., is tipical in those xperts books, the f14 is worst than the f15 (at least at low level), worst than the f18, but always the f14 fans will say that is the best fighter in the world and is impossible that an mig23 could be better 😀 :rolleyes:, thats the bussisness in these books.
buahhh, again with this, even the mf version is better than the f14, it have better climb and t/w and at normal dogfight speeds can turn better with more energy (8gs), now, an f14 can reach the f15 six ???why not???, if the eagle pilots go into very low speed fight or at heigh -hell even f106 can do that if they stay high- depend on tactics and pilot skill, the 23 is an small plane it cant carry 4 r23s, hell even 2 aa7s with 2 aa8s an respected load.
But when you have so many good books about the Tomcat at hand, you can post us some data about inst./sust. turn-rates of it. The corner velocity is an excellent 300 knots
je,je, man youre drunk, the f14 was considered better than the f15 at very low speeds turns (5-4gs), but at higher speeds (300 knots) the f15 is better (much better in inst turn), but we always will find guys saying f14 9gs or corner velocity 300knots tsss….
It is of little help to all of us to post outdated “facts” from websites based on similar sources to bolster own claims
ohhh sens, your scape from the reality 😉
Reality is not black and white. Fast opinions are not the best always
hmmm, 6.5 g limit and 10km/minute initial climb, not???
man, wing area dont mean lift percentage, the main fuselage design is to avoid reinolds problems, if the “pancake” is sooo efective, why to use VG??? :rolleyes:
produce a very manouverable bird, that even F-15 drivers do not care to slow down and turn with
obvious, high aspect ratio
whats the rafale supersonic manoeuverability??
ans why some guys say that the EF aerodynamics are more advanced than the rafale???, and which plane is more unstable???
ejemmmm, the tomcats “lift body” isnt an truly lift body, the surface is inclinated inwards, the use of that is like an big wing fences (to avoid turbulence in such big fuselage), is completely diferent with, mmmm lets say…mig25
the engineering is the science of the pesimism, the blended wing present some drag problems by the leading edge ratio, the leading edge angle, the poor fuselage length and the exagerated aspect ratio, no doubt the lift is enormous -if the gravity center is calibrated with the backwarded lift vector-, but such design could be efective only at low subsonic speeds (below M0.6-0.5) i think that as a cargo plane is an very interesting alternative but not for passengers
