well, about the foxbat i had explained some missunderstandings, but well that mig21 vs f104 disscusion is useless, left that for another thread, but maybe the 104 was the worst design for the USAF.

im interesed about the starfighter, specially the design for the FX competicion, anybody knows that???, was constructed an prototype (i think that eas called the lancer-but im not sure)???, what about the other designs for the FX (rockwell-fairchilld)

blow to all those, to highlight the official below 9 G stress limit of the early F-15s, not knowing that the Flanker has similar limitations

ohhh, man im sure that if the su27 would only have max operative 8gs, that would be very, very, very public, those are pilots recomendations for secutity and to maintain more service-hours to the airframes

wait, wait, wait, the 27sk doesnt have exported version (im think that th j11 is based in such design)???, but there other factors like corner speed etc…but also depends if is sustained or instananius g limit, also depends on the batch, is accepted that the plane do operative 9gs , maybe those are pilots recomendations (like 7gs on mirage2000)

its normal that decrease of the transonic g limit, its about pressure diferences at that stage, that arent so big at supersonic

ahhhh…butterfly tails…. well the problem of such controls is that arent very effective, horizontal tail (HT) is very, very important in the stability at maneuvres, replacing HT with movable tails could induce some problems at high AoA or turn, but that also depends on other factors, i prefer an more conventional stealh flanker, but we are just speculating…

If one considers the F/A 22 to be a stealthed F15 (consider the general configuration with fuselage canted to form a diamond and intakes canted) in concept, why wouldn’t Sukhoi build a stealthed Flanker, ie something akin to the YF 23?

thats an very good and sense point, think that the probability to reach to such configuration (stealth flanker) will be very influenced with costs and market price, the main design problem could be the internal bay

butterfly tails???, maybe i know about that with other name, please can you explain me??

the problem here is ,theres LF airborne radars in development???, i think that with nowdays electronics and algoritms theres a capacity to put in service an LF radar with fire control, for aproximate position, with active MF missiles radar skeeker that works better in shot distances (an iterative process), but the reality is that the stealth features of the f22 are very over-rated.

bistatic concepts that are used in passive tactics with Sa6 and Sa10, makes truly stealth aircraft vulnerable

flying wings have some problems, as i said the leading edge ratio is too big, to solve that you need an more pronunciated leading egle angle, with that the designers must solve the older problems of vector lift position, that like in the coach posted design, is very, very backwarded (but that could be solved moving the gravity centre), maybe biplanes could work better than lift bodies in some aspects.

in the end could be a mix of rafales and fulcrums, althought the diference between last mig29 versions with the rafales are not soo big
