where i can find some information of the fly propieties of an ICBM, i mean trayectorie, speed, heigh, range, relation heigh-speed, MIRV range (at wich heigh-range the heads are ejected), maybe we could start an very, very interesting discussion…
an question, when the I2000 migs concept was made public????, and when the iran-russian cooperation in that concept started?????, that design was only for an subsonic trainer, or supersonic aircraft????, i really dont have enought information of that plane (or proyect), whe could start an I2000 vs MAKO thread :p
Actually although the layout of the fuselage is visually different from that of a FLANKER – i.e. the engines are closer together – I am still pretty sure (based on something I read some time ago) that it is heavily influenced by the fuselage design of the FLANKER. As for the LERX – well the FULCRUM and FLANKER both have LERX – whats your point?
ink, with all respect, you can read everything what you want, but the berkut desing have nothing to do with the flanker (maybe only that huge nose 😀 ), about the flankrum :p lerx design, is completely diferent of the berkut-f18 lerxs
Regarding the internal weapons bay – that is a completely solid design feature – there is absolutely no reason for the designers to change that. Why would 4th gen design solutions be better for the PAK-FA than a 5th gen one?
well that was an personal opinion, but i think that internal bay concept is an waste of time and resources, simpler is better.
the american ABM sistem is based in missiles interceptors????, anyone knows the performance and characteristic of such missile???
im not an expert of ABM, but in this game you play with 2 factors (i think) speed and heigh, close to the defended target is harder to intercept due to the high speed (and MIRV), at an distance of 3000-6000 km the problem is the heigh (yes still the speed is high, but not as the hell near the target), so whats is the better solution, an target defence???? or maybe an B52 -tu95 loaded with ABM missiles patroling at 3000-4000km of the possible target????(nowdays airborn lasers dont have a good range)
well, its based only on the declarations of the “berkut without FSW”, but i have my doubts of the sukhoi unstable concept since the mig team joined in the proyect, i had seen better stealth-supercruiser concepts from su-mig, i think that the mr.butowsky concept would be an bad idea (at least not better than the raptor)
hmmm again the pakfa, i had read some posts, there are my comments…
1) berkut fuselage is not based in flankers, no way, its more like an f18 (even lerx)
2) i hope that the pakfa wont be designed with internal bay, that could be a mistake, but using an special low-drag arragment for missiles (like tornado,f14,etc) in an internal mid-intakes “canal” (like mig29,f14,su27,etc) could be an smarter solution
3)the concept posted by rajkhalsa is UGLY
4)maybe the pakfa will look like the f23 with an delta or flanker wing and with vertical fins (i think that is the shape that the russians could work better) but thats only an speculation
adrian, there are millions of planes that use such trailing edges designs, and are nothing to do with stealth, there reasons are aerodynamics-structural, well now that we are talking about wing designs, how works that “circle” or “semi-circle” wing desing in other proyects (out of the stealth concepts)???
btw an truly stealth wing is the f23 concept, increasing to max (maybe until aerodynamics limit) the linear lside profile of the plane ( to weak the radar signal), avoiding “internal” anlgles
i have an question, if those f22 flats (tail controls) could move back the raptor aero-center (by mantaining the pressure diference from the main wing)????
well, im comparing the f22 delta with others deltas designs, and the “cheers” explained above are the same truly reasons of others deltas, im think that im right, but if someone have others arguments, well this could be an very, very interesting discussion, thats the reason of my “very complicated discussion” phrase.
SOC, i agreed that the f22 wing have some stealth details, but that wing was designed mainly for supercruiser requierements.
well, i think that the problem is the political-society complete and total acceptance of that behavior (with that im saying that also the homosexuals have rights-we must live in this world in peace-), well i will be fatalist…imagine 30 years in the future with homosexual families with sons made by genetic engineering, the problem is what the man want, and whats the nature way.
geoforcen comon, be serious
stadistics in other countries (in develop way) reveals only an max of 5%, so i could think that theres an relation, the problem is that we realy dont know the homosexuality causes, sometimes the reason is an trauma (sexual rape), but in the mayority of the cases the homosexuals start with the concept of the “woman inside a man” or “man inside a woman”, some scientifics says that iths genetical or hormonal.
arthur, yes that behavior had been hidden through the years , but we must consider that this attitude is more frequent in the mid-high society class, with stadistics saying that 25% of the people in a devepoled country had an homosexual encounter, maybe could be normal 5-2%, but 25% is alarming (yes i know im talking like an republicanic)
aerodynamics are a very complicated discussion, the f22 “diamod” wings (deltas) reason, could be very debatible, the wing tips shape are for reduce the linear drag keeping an short flow trayectorie, and keeping at minimal the pressure diference to reduce the tips-vortex drag effect (like in the f15), also the wing shape could be structural, the end-edge wing must support an big stress (mainly at supercruiser), that “negative” angle could help, but returnig to aerodynamics, the end-edge also could help “evacuating” chaotic vortex in the wing and low pressure flow (with the increase of the lenght-by the inclination), but other reason could be to move the lift vector of conventional deltas, also could be relationated with the flaps design etc…
Hey, hey, hey, we are online again……cool
Insthead to discuss about the “more” multi role capability of the IDS i would suggest to compare the real capabilities of the two and evalue them in the right light of their effective tasks.
that was the best commentarie in this thread….., sooo who cares??? lets talk about the planes!!!
