BB, i cant say i fully know how you feel, but ive just sat and cried for half an hour at half 5 in the morning, just thinking about my nan, having spoke to a friend earlier when i went for a walk we discussed altzheimers (spelling?)

and how hard it is for the relations to cope, if im honest, im struggling with coping, i havnt managed to pluck up the courage to visit her, simply because its too hard to bare as she doesnt even know who i am anymore, she doesnt know who anyone is anymore but relives things from her past that are quite frankly worrying, the last time i visited her, she was saying oh no, those poor kids…i cant believe that happened to them, not one of her children knows what she is on about

i guess these kinds of things are down to will power at the end of it all, despite not being the one who is suffering from an illness, were still suffering, maybe not as much…but quite a bit

i think i need to try and sleep now..although its 6:05 in the morning….i could just go find something to do till i go out later, who knows

i was happy earlier, i dont know how my mood changed as i was running round laughing at 3am

just one of the many weird things that can happen

    Scott

Thanks Scott, you’re just like my daughter,it really isn’t good for you to stay up so late ! I’m sorry about your Nan but I hope you have happy memories of her before she was ill .

Have patience with all things… but chiefly have patience with yourself.Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections… but instantly start remedying them…every day begin the task anew. -St. Francis de Sales

Thanks Steve,I’ve been remedying my imperfections all day so now I definitely deserve some chocolate .

There seems to be quite a few bashful people here…a few are very forthright in expressing their profound opinions but are a little hesitant about sticking their heads up…c’mon lets put some pics to some of the names

You know that Angelina Jolie ? well, I don’t look like her …. it’ll take me years to work out how to put a photo on my new pc.I’ll post one on my 70th .

Being short-tempered with my Mum because I’m too much of a selfish cow to have any patience with her disability. Anyone reading this, please take a moment to think how lucky you are just being able to walk. I’d be thrilled to bits if my Mum was only able to stand up.Life is just so ****ing unfair.I have a million insect bites that itch like mad and if I hear one more Michael Jackson track I shall scream .

I’m immigrating to Auckland tomorrow. To be fair, I may pass through EDI again one day if I am back visiting but it won’t be for a while!

Good luck in your new life and pack your winter woollies, they’re having a really cold winter down there this year !
