Oh dear – I’ll have to remind you there’s not much of a market for old bats .

I’m not at all sure men and women are designed to live together for long periods anyway.Certainly I know couples who’ve divorced and the women have really bloomed afterwards,travelling,enjoying life,spending money,all things they couldn’t hope to do while the old man was still around.I think it’s probably more natural to have different partners for different stages of your life,though my Mum and Dad are still devoted to each other after 65 years.And I don’t even want to think about being with my husband for 65 years !

I thought people would say their partners had no irritating habits because they’d made the perfect choice.Is it only old shape who’s hit the jackpot then ?

Sick of being criticised by the other half for doing the same things she does that she knows drive me up the wall and I’m not allowed to comment on. After 29 years of it I’ve had enough I can tell you but I can’t afford to move out neither can she financially. Anyway she’s a good cook and I enjoy my food too much besides which I can’t cook. I can do a passable job of burning water without letting it out of the tap if yoou want though.

Aaah,poor you.Know what you mean though,I reckon I’m well overdue some time off for good behaviour myself.I can’t believe that the human pair was designed to bond for this long .

Perhaps chav was the wrong choice…maybe philistine would have been better!!!

He lives in the same town as me – he’s a chav all right ! Let’s hope this makes other people less likely to act so disgracefully .

I spent yesterday morning on a sponsored walk with a group of toddlers – it finished in a café near a nature centre and their excitement when a peacock wandered in was a real tonic.Being around little kids is such a joy .And it made me smile when one fell over and stuck his ice cream cone to his nose .
