RE: CSA
They bring their A310 into Toronto.
RE: Ryanair Places Major Boeing Order
Also, this is their second major order. It’s unlikely that they would’ve switched aircraft types at this time.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Ok, anyone for a deal?
Unfortunately, my salary wouldn’t even allow me to buy a piece of the puddle in the foreground.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Ok, anyone for a deal?
Yes, I suppose it does look like an English type home. Thanks.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Ok, anyone for a deal?
Great shot of the new JAL colors Kabir. Is it taken in Japan?
RE: Boeing… a bit P’ed off at Iberia.
I think Boeing’s statement also speaks to the desperate state of the airline industry, and the US economy. The market is becoming more and more competitive when major (usually dependable) airlines are placing holds on orders. Also, I am sure there is a subtle political message there re: France and Germany with regards to economy and industry of the “new Europe” versus the United States. No, I am not attempting to open this topic up to a discussion of politics.
RE: KLM sells BUZZ to Ryanair
The no-frills phenom is very, very interesting. It seems that you have too many no-frills carriers on your side, although that does make for good competition, a rationalization seems inevitable. Though we could use some more over here.
Is easyjet larger than Ryanair? Ryanair definitely seems to have a stronger foothold on the continent than easyjet (various hubs), though maybe I’m off base there.
I was also stunned to read the cash reserves that Ryanair has, wow! Considering that the majors are suffering so much, it’s a completely different story altogether.
Thanks for supplying the article.
RE: The new SNB Airlines c/s…pic here.
It’s not too bad. It will look better on larger aircraft. It’s hard to portray the full impact of an airline’s livery on aircraft such as the A319.
RE: Cheapest way from Melbourne to Isle of Man??
Try expedia.com (believe expedia.co.uk in the uk), or travelocity.com. Usually very good deals.
RE: Ryanair vs GermanWings
Jazz only operate in western Canada, so I’m not sure what their rates are like. Westjet are competitive to be sure. The Montreal – Toronto route is always packed though (westjet does not operate this route). The cheapest you would find is $89 (about forty pounds) one-way plus heavy Canadian taxes, fuel surcharges and security sur tax.
Granted for some routes we have substantially further to fly, but the cash cows like Montreal could be cheaper. I think that the low frills concept is slowly taking shape.
RE: Ryanair vs GermanWings
That is amazing! Oh, why can’t we have that in Canada? Wow!
RE: Pic of the Day :: Night time @ Kai Tak
I know nothing about photography, but I really like the way the camera caught the speed of the aircraft, almost like it is suspended in mid air. Bravo!

RE: Report on London Manston.
Also, Airliners, or Airways, has an article on Manston at the moment.
RE: LAX los angeles
I’ve been there (about seven years ago now). They have a revolving restaurant that has an amazing view of the airfield. Other than that I didn’t get much chance to explore, massive airport.
