Of course we would all LOVE to see the footage of ‘611, however, I can’t really imagine what Primetime would fill a fourth hour long video about the Lanc with otherwise?

It’s Hendon’s big day, Prince Philip was there. (Now, there’s someone who SHOULD be stuck on a perch!)

I’ve never known any different-my grandad was ground crew on 149 squadron, and I just seem to have always known about it all, and built models, been to airshows etc etc, my whole life!

Aren’t they the pesky little red ones that are always in my rear-view mirror as I leave an airshow?! 😉

He’s certainly come a long way and done well since Saddam’s boys beat the s**t out of him.

You know the way the Gents is just on your right as you stand at the entrance to the Bomber Hall? Just tie a bit of string to the door handle, then you can go in, bump around between the bombers, and find your way back out again!

Joking aside, what’s the point in being a premier aircraft museum if you skimp on the bloody light bulbs? Shocking, and inexcusable. 😡

A nice letter to Hendon will probably gain you supervised access to the cockpit, too.

Great shots there Roger, and much more the sort of thing we want to see rather than some re-spray jobs!

I agree with Snapper, too-no way are they original finish.

Terrible news; and I’ve only just received the winter journal of the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association which he had taken over the editorship of, and I was really looking forward to his input on the mag; sad, sad news.
