Really looking forward to this one- saw an ad for it yesterday, complete with a great shot of FM213 taking off, apparently filmed from the top of her tailplane or similar?!
If it’s half as good as ‘Spitfire Ace’, we’re in for a treat, methinks.
Skypilot62- think I’m okay thanks, I’ve been doing well!
Peter- sending email now!
Hear, hear.
Check list;
1. Attractive women- check
2. Skin-tight clothing- check
3. Proceed to display said women as specs in the sky- damn, something wrong there!
:p
I don’t know, but I’ve always imagined that whatever scheme is chosen would have to have some form of the dreaded political correctness about it? i.e, I can’t quite see the Lanc flying about with a picture of Stalin on it’s nose?
Me, I want it painted up as S-Sugar; it would be a great looking scheme in the air, and would be good for cross-publicity between the BBMF and Hendon.

Pah, calls himself a Lancaster enthusiast, then he goes and builds THAT instead… 😮
Very good mate, well done! 😉
LOL, aw, I’ve been missed!
Been spending my days bent over a large scale model I’m building, but it’s of a world land speed record car.
Can I say ‘car’ here?!
Just for the record, the ‘lancasterman’ mentioned above who has bid or whatever on Ebay, is not me!
Yeah, I have an old Flypast airshows video on which the Lancaster is referred to as ‘Papa Alpha four-seven-four’!!! 😮
And while we all know that the BBMF as it is now known came to be in 1973, there is a photograph of former flight Spitfire SL574 taken in 1959, where the engineer’s toolbox clearly has ‘BBMF’ written on it, even then! Obviously, the name was around unofficially long before it become adopted officially.
‘The BBMF, Battle Of Britain Memorial Force’

Hello there, welcome!
One assumes that the Bomber will have another poppy symbol added to her nose art now?
Lovely!
Glad to see the Lanc with it’s two top hatches in place, too; I know it gets some air in and keeps the crew a bit cooler to have them out, but the trend to remove them in recent years is really annoying looking!
