It wasn’t a rehearsal of their changeover, was it? One fighter pulling up and away as the other comes ‘on stage’?

Hear hear, JDK; a few more grounded but ‘live’ airframes that are kept/displayed in this manner would be no bad thing.

Amazon are generally rubbish, as they charge a fortune for postage, which usually cancels out any ‘saving’ you might make on a retail price!

For the life of me, I can’t find that Sugar history site anymore-it appears to have gone. Damn! I’ll keep trying to find it. 🙁

I’ve got two copies of ‘A Very Special Lancaster’, which isn’t a bad little booklet actually, bought mine in the mid-eighties. The history of Sugar on the RAF Waddington website is also very, very good, if you’re interested and haven’t seen it before.

    ‘Post your favourite picture’.

Hmm, I’m going to get shouted at if I post a nice lady with her breasts out, aren’t I?

    Sad…

I suppose that when you were an old man even at the time, 1988 is suddenly a very long time ago. We must be losing guys at a rate of knots now; it can’t be long before none are left.

How many are dying, just someone’s grandad etc, that have never told their tales? 🙁

Okay Robbo, cheers; if it was a leg-pull by Observer, then I’m sorry to have missed the point, but sometimes what we say with our tongues in our cheeks doesn’t translate so well into the online written word!

    🙁

Oh, and I see that you joined this forum a year ago, but have made only 36 posts; yet you choose to post a complaint.

    Pah!

Our Ebay name reflects the fact that my wife makes and sells costumes, which is mostly what we use Ebay for. Is that okay with you?!!!

If there is a rule against my linking to a book that someone here might like, then fine, sorry, but otherwise, mind your own business if you don’t like it!

    Sheesh.
