I was Searching for how Many F-7s PAF Bought in Which Year..First 24 F-7M/FT-7M 20/4 were recieved in 1989-90, second batch recieved in 1994-95 72 F-7P/FT-7P 60/12 thats about it i was not able to find any other Order Except of 55+ F-7PG/FT-7PGs..Do have more info?

Last Night this was on News Channel (GEO TV) Pakistan is Recieving 40 Airlaunched Harpoons & 20 Ship Launched Versions of Harpoon. Plus there was news about JF-17s and can anyone confirm AVM Said PAF requirment in of 150 and PLA requirment is 250 I am Preety Sure this was said. 04 Aircraft will Join PAF in winter 2006 and other 04 Aircraft in Mid 2007.

This what I saw & Heard on TV Channel can anyone Confirm!

Bhai Log, why it isn`t possible that FC-1(Chinese Version) be equipped with RD-93/WS-13 and PAF Version(JF-17 Thunder) equipped with western engine? just need a reason? any one seen any photo of 4th prototype?

Or all this engine issue is not the engine it self that is RD-93s..could it be that advertised performance parameters are not achieved! is it the problem??

it certainly wont make sense to start a factory where its main product has engine supply problem!!!

Mavaustin, I guess you realy dont think or read..i wasn`t predicting 24 F-16s thats a Fact as widly reported ( in so many articles since)..second i wasn`t Predicting 4th generation requirement of 80 Aircraft.. Its was said by ACM of PAF in (Flight international Issue) was he Predicting? and was i predicting 150+ JF-17s Commitment by PAF .. u know what i was talking about! ..any many other people in the forum.

In face of numerous attacks on me in your blind Arrogance and Hatered i can`t resist complaining..please try to think first and write then…that is why Much Esteemed PAKDEF banned me..all i did was pointed out some daydreams bang! i am a traitor or some indian!

My Point is if PAF going to buy 100+ F-16s she would not have commited to JF-17s Production lines as well as look for 4th generation Fighter so if qouted 24 F-16s are fitting right as they still looking for 4th generation Fighters plus i must try put it in you brain that PAF cant operate more then 400 Fighters her bases and her infrastucture Prohibits that Late PAF Air Marshall qouted 80 high Tech with 160 med Tech and 160 low tech..( now are you Mr. Mavaustin In Position to make claims?)

But if PAF looking at these F-16s as interm buy(which i belive is not true) then why they are buying Block 50s or may be 60s?? interm buy would have being simple F-16A/Bs Block 15OCUs easily operatable as PAF already operate them to make up the numbers..if more MLUed them..Now as said by Pres. Musharaf himself on TV (I heared it myself) they will be New C & Ds, which makes whole 4th Gen argument irrelevent..PAF top line i guess will be based of F-16s ( I hoped that it should have something much newer in Shape of Typhoon or Rafale but pundits think otherwise)

One more question Comes along is there going to attirtion replacemnts of old F-16s?

I guess you have attacked me quite alot here and ACIG..now..as you can see we arte getting them and are those secret numbers you are talking about which are between 8 & 16..total 24 Aircraft.

I guess the supposed scenario already happend..over Pak-Afghan Border..and they were 8 x MiG-23s although 04 of them were Air to Air Tasked..against 02 F-16As..that was 80s, it didn`t get down well over Soviet Side.. 02 of them got damage in which one crashed on runway..& that was a Slashing Attack..i guess if MiG-23 stayed to fight more closer ranges ..they were dead …
