    Jur,

    John has a D70s not a D2X, 5 FPS doesn’t come cheap with a DSLR.

    Hi Octain,

The one I believe your talking about was made by Trojan, the car and truck makers.

One aspect that does not seem to have been mentioned in the Raw v JPEG debate is the speed in which the camera can upload the data.

I have a Nikon D100 and when in raw mode the ‘writing’ speed can be quite slow. This can be frustrating at times, one of few areas where the old 35mm SLR still has a slight advantage, In fine JPEG mode it copes fine though.

Almost all of my images are now taken in raw, its only when I’m in a hurry that I revert to JPEG.

A final selection of birthday photos, the line up shot was taken through wire mesh hence the unusual lighting.

Cliffair; Eastleigh does not exactly lend itself to photography, the short term multi storey car park is quite good for ramp shots although you will have to stick your lens between the wire mesh, the mound is OK although still quite a distance off the runway 300-400mm lens essential.

I did a recce of the area yesterday trying to find a good position on the approach and the only place worth considering was in a some crematorium/ graveyard, local spotters may no of better places though.

The BBMF were due to bring one of their Spits along does anyone know why they dropped out.

    AR,

Thanks for taking the trouble to write this account, given the emotional nature of the memorial service.

    Nice 🙂

Did it always wear those markings, or were they applied for the film?

Not sure Daz, the only published photos I’ve seen of the Sipa, show the same colours and markings. Very nice all the same though.

Moving away from the exciting Buchon replica revelations, here is a shot of Sipa at Old Warden.

Try contacting Alastair White of Acebell Aviation at Redhill aerodrome, I know he has close ties with the Robinson Redwing society. He should know who to contact.
