Sorry to disappoint everyone but I’ve seen ‘The Secret War of Jackies Girls’ and it is totally appalling, a C rated TV movie, a sort of war time ‘Charlies Angels’ (The 70’s version)but without Jaclyn Smith. If I remember correctly it features a Bell 47 without the plexiglass, I’m pretty sure there is a Lockheed Lodestar in it as well.
PS. There are also a couple of short Battle of Britain film clips.
PS2 Note for older forumites, Jaclyn Smith was 58 last week!!!

I’m glad you liked the photos, on the whole I felt it was very good way to end a season, although not ideal for photography. Now where can I go next weekend. 🙂

Here’s just a few more to finish.
Harveys Best Bitter – Brewed locally in Lewes, from one of the few privately owned (i.e. not swallowed up by one of the large chains) full size breweries left here in the South East I think.
Not sure how far this travels around the UK as a draught beer, but they also sell it bottled as “Blue Label”, so I guess it should be available in most places.
Seconded, a great pint, but I have to go to Godstone for it, otherwise Fullers London Pride.

Staying on this TSR 2 theme, albeit on an audio note, I recently purchased a long play single(vinyl) titled ‘The Neil Williams Collection’ which featured a recording of the TSR2 taking off !
Along with the TSR 2 kit release Airfix are also releasing their reworked 48th scale Spitfire as a Mk IX complete with MH434 ZD-B markings.

I believe Airline was filmed in 1981 which I guess means it would have screened the following year. Does anyone know if was ever shown outside the UK.
Septic.
I fear ‘Airline’ and ‘Whirlybirds’ were produced and broadcast well before the invention of the VCR.
Moggy
The VCR was around at the time of the screening of Airline if you had a spare £600 + to spend.
Airline was a superb series that deserves a reissue as a DVD. It was just a shame the proposed second series was scrapped. If I remember rightly ‘Aces High’ had aleady obtained a Lockheed Constellation, which eventually found its way to the UK and joined the Science museum at Wroughton.

Rob,
All I mean’t was maybe a small badge/sticker or patch could be produced by the forum. After all I’m sure I’ve stood next to many forumites at shows without realising it.

Thanks Niall,
Maybe its time we had a simple enamel forum badge that we all wear, so as we know will all part of the historic forum.
