I have always thought we do, but I know that many disagree and see it the other way round. However I rather think your last observation proves the point.

Hence the desperate need for a more rational long term policy. Which I fear will not be forthcoming, since all parties are signed up to the status quo or something closely resembling it.

Still, I am sure our French friends will give us a good price for bulk electricity in another 10 years!!:rolleyes:

In agree that his nationality is irrelevant. I think the Americans will take more interest if and when the allegations are seen to be jmore than that – just allegations.

One of the aspects of all of this which intrigues me is that many of those baying for his blood are the very readers who cannot get enough of the stories published in his “rags”. The whole NOTW paedophile saga illustrates my point.

Interesting thread. My understanding is that, although lacking total originality, MH434 is pretty close to the real thing and as a flyer has to be a very impressive candidate. Are there in fact any surviving Spits wholly original?
