Great pictures.Alitalia have also upgraded their Dublin to Rome flight from MD-80 to A319/A320 and so have Lufthansa A320/A321 instead of 733 and 735.
Indeed it is odd and there was a huge row over it with all 3 airports on strike over it for a while.Dublin will now carry the debts of both Shannon and Cork thats all I can make out of this situation. Its changed and thats it really.

Can I ask why very few if any major carriers like BA dont fly to iceland.Would a flight to feed connections into LHR,CDG,AMS or FRA not work for any of the major carriers or is there just no market in Iceland for many european flights.I know icelandair operate a resonable amount of european flights and iceland express seem to be doing quite well so why no other flights?

Greta pictures and indeed a very interesting thread.personally Ive always been very lucky with landings never really having a bad one.
Actually now that I think of it when I flew Malaga-Barcleona we had a heavy landing so hard infact the overhead locker in Business where I was sitting fell and narrowly avoided a man.
I have my first ryanair flight in over 10 years this tuesday so well see how those landings go.

Mistakes happen.it wasnt the first and it wont be the last. All Air traffic Controllers are capable of doin their jobs and everysingle one is capable of making mistakes.the main thing is nobody was hurt.As our skies become more congested this sort of incident will become more common.lets hope though we dont have to many.

As far as I am aware Dublin airport authority runs all 3 airports.

Just to update you Aer Rianta no longer excists.Dublin is now run by the Dublin Airport Authority.I wonder would we have easyjet if Go have kept their flight to Dublin from Glasgow and Edinburgh but unfortunatley they dropped them before Easyjet took over.

Ye ok worried may be a better word but I think easyjet could make a real go in Dublin on routes like AMS which is monopilised at the moment by Aer Lingus Im sure theres others.
