One of the ideas behind LCCs offering so many flights to ALC, AGP etc is to decrease peoples need for charters airlines.

The UK market is different from the Irish one as in you have alot of airlines who specialise in charter flights only. Here in Ireland we have scheduled airlines do charter flights for us like OK, KM and LF.

Most of the UK based charter airlines sell seat only deals only.

Would any scheduled airline be able to fill a 757/737 MAN-RHO on a consistent basis?

Ryanair have added a new airport to their network with the introduction of DUB-NCE this winter along with DUB-BUD,PRG,SZZ,BSL and KTW.

Nice to see XG in EDI. Unfortunatley their operaation has been badlt effected over the past few days due to faulty baggage belts in BCN resulting in container after container of luggage being left behind in BCN I wonder how the EDI flight faired!

As far as I can recall they are the only LCC to use ULD on their A320s.

The LHR flights will be sold as a codeshare with BA so they should pick up a good bit of onwards traffic.

Even some of the star alliance airline sell EI flights between LHR-Ireland which is surprising as BD are a * airline. (eg SQ)

It will be interesting and Im sure they will give BD a run for their money just like they do in DUB.

The flight timings will be interesting to see.
