Its true that some airports will unfortunatley loose out with open skies.

MAN at first glance would appear to be one that will suffer but an airport of that size will recover.
Imagine how poor SNN will feel.

DUB is the first airport to benift with EI already announcing IAD,MCO and SFO. 😀

They used both DC-10s and 757 over the weekend.

They had a A330 go tech in BOS towards the end of the week so they had the DC-10 and a 757 operating between DUB and BOS over the weekend.

A Omni DC-10 left DUB at about 11pm last night not to sure where it was heading.

Heres a shocker for ya last summer EI had some tech problems with a number of A320s so to operate a VCE flight they had to borrow (lease) a 737-800 of Ryanair!!!!

It was even parked on an airbridge. Imaine how the passengers felt after paying that little bit extra to fly EI and ending upon FR anyway.

I doubt EK would have sufficent ”larger” aircraft to tidy up the backlog which will be left so no doubt there will be some stranted passengers in DXB until tommorow. I can think of worst places to be stranted. :rolleyes:

I wonder with Eirjet not operating this summer who will operate their charters. They had a requirment for 6 aircraft at the weekends last year!!

At the minute OK and KM are doing charters flights with A321 and A320 so I wonder what we will get this summer, could be interesting.
