If you go onto the Irish version of BA.com and try to book fr example DUB-LHR-HKG then BA will automatically book you onto an EI flight, the codeshare agreement is still there. EI dont charge you for baggage if you are transferring onto BA flights.
From the end of next March EI and BA will also codeshare on LGW-DUB.
I was asking why would KL send thr E-Jet to LHR from AMS when it seems ti be a high demand route. I know they operated smaller Fokkers from EIN and RTM but they are hardly as busy as AMS.
Does KLM still send the A330 to LHR? I cant see them sending both the A330 and the E-Jet on LHR runs, they are 2 opposite ends of the scale.
Anybody know when the first 100s will leave the fleet?
Just to clarify these are not bmi baggage restrictions, they are EU hand baggage restrictions.
If you do manage to get more than a 100ml bottle through, please for aviations sake, dont try and hijack the flight with it.
Great pictures, Im going to have a little day trip to MAN in November, looking forward to it know.
Hmmm PH-BOG the KL 777 certainly does look somewhat of a bog!
Altitude will depend on certain things, like weather and how busy a certain route is. Certain routes dont have set Flight levels.
Ive done quite a few like FRA, BRU, LHR, MAN, DUS, AMS etc.
My furthest was Berlin, arrived back in DUB at 2230 and was back again at 0400 for a flight to MAD!
I think I speak for alot of people when I say this is complete ”crap”
Its always the last Sunday in October the same day the clocks change and the same story in March, the last Sunday when the clocks change the summer timetable start.
Charter timetables are different.
A good hub airport can rely solely on connecting traffic, if you look at the big hubs like LHR, CDG, AMS, FRA, DXB, SIN the cities in which they are located all have a huge importance financially, politically or some other reason thus there is also a huge amount of O & D traffic aswell.
The huge amount of routes couldnt continue with just O & D traffic either but they are lucky enough to have a good ballance of both.
I dont see what you meen about not being able to connect in the US? AA, DL, US, CO etc depend hugley on connections to survive! Do you meen arriving from an international flight going onto a domestic one?
We are all aware what will happen to XLA staff, tommyinyork was simply asking a question, no need to go off on one! Sheesssh!
Yes they are your ”national airline” but they are also a business which must makes money to survive and this is how they go about it.
Id be amazed if BA launch LHR-ALC, although there may be money to be made on it there is more money to be made on other routes from LHR.
As far as BA are concerned if you want to get from LHR-ALC then jump onto a flight to MAD and their oneworld friends Iberia will look after you from there.
