Nice report and good pics! Im off to BRU in the morning, daytripping with EI.
Seeing as though BA have had a serious incident with a twin engined airliner than fllies long haul ops for them will this have any effect on their ETOPS license?
BD/BA have an interline baggage agreement and there is a huge amount of transfers via LHR between them both. In the summer time there can be problems becaue of the large volume going through.
EK from NCL seems like a good option.
I can only really speak from a baggage point of view as thats what I do for a living.
Yes the bags will go straight through via LHR, BD/SQ are quite good at the baggage transfers between each other.
My advice is that if the relative is very elderely and travelling alone try and avoid LHR!
SFO will be daily next summer and LAX 4 weekly so the demand is quite high, and UA would have the bonus of feed from domestic flights into SFO, but as mentioned above capacity is and issue and a SFO-DUB return rotation requires a decent amount of capacity, IE it takes a good 23 hours so 1 aircraft cant do a daily flight on its own.
IAD already covered by EI and not their hottest T/A route to say the least.
NW from DTW a possibility but what do they offer that CO,US, AA and AC dont already offer during the summer?
Ive heard these rumours for years now, possibly true but I wouldnt hold my breath!
G-MIDO isnt DME based its quite a regular visitor to DUB.
Thats really poor form on AF behalf! Surely there is enough traffic on the route to sustain 2 airlines espeically when you consider the amount of connections possible from CDG!
What was/is the frequencey like and with what type of aircraft?
Ye that would be no problem!
Im off on that day so you can count me in!
Ill be driving from DUB and setting off as early as possilbe, anybody who wants a lift from DUB is more than welcome to come along.
I cant deny I prefer to fly with EI as I think the expierence is alot better, hence why I paid the little extra to fly with EI for my upcoming trip to Brussels.
But I have to defend FR a little here. There is nothing wrong with the seat pitch, Im 6’2 and find both FR and EI equally comfortale.
I think some of your questions need to be rephrased, they are a little difficult to understand, Im not so sure what exactly you meen.
Really lucky to catch it on video! It did it with such ease.
Why was their new year ruined because of a delayed flight? How delayed?
I used to get bothered about things like that aswell! It soon wears off!
All in alpabetical order! Impressive.
