The word ugly comes to mind, but there again it wasn’t designed for looks but the job in hand.
Just amazing shots and outstanding quality, love the angle on the China Airlines A330. Look how clean that landing gear is :D.
Yes indeed, excellent shots, the close up the China buses wheels shows the break cooling fans off in good detail, excellent Steph.

No, we’d still have been figuring out how to keep the 1-11’s flying a bit longer instead.
1L.
Or the 727’s?
Does anyone know of a modified pic of a Dan Air 757, or what about a BCAL 57, now that would look fantastic.
Ohh my god was it really 20 years ago since the arrival of the BA 57’s, gees it makes me feel old.
I remember going to Man watching these along side the Tridents doing the shuttle runs, then I believe Monarch took delivery not so long after BA and they looked fantastic.
Boy if the likes of Dan Air were still around I wonder if we would see them operating these birds.
How times fly.
😀
Also the Air India 777 is either at Ringway or on it’s way.
I wonder if new planes have that smell like new cars do???
They sure do Steve, had the privilege the other month of flying on BMI’s new A319, was only days old and it smelt very new, just like my new car does at the moment.

Already been posted mate.
Nice selection Grey, gees the weather over in Liverpool was a tad miserable?
Thanks for the kind comments chaps, still a bit unsure of the winglets on the 57s, also noted that they have re-positioned the strobes to the top of the winglet, looks very odd.

A bit late in the day,
Happy Birthday Mr Mod
Hope it’s not named after anyone!
They should stick with it traditional name “Squires Gate”, nothing wrong with that in my books
I was only basing it on British Charter airlines from my point as being on this side of the pond as they have more interest to me. Is there any pics around of Photoshoped Dan Air 75s, would love to see what they would of looked like.

DC6 ?
No pics, but I did pick him up on the scanner and at 11:30 he flew over where I live heading towards Liverpool, was around 10,000 ft, looked pretty big.
Mine is the fat, sweaty person who takes up the there’s and your seats in one go, and they always seem to be sat next to me.
Oh and another classic which happened the other week with me, left Manchester dull and wet, burst though the clouds in to brilliant sunshine, the lady next to me says” the weather much better up here it’s a lot nicer” gees are some people stupid.
