geedee, although it doesnt make you a hero, it does mean a lot for your country (pride in your country, you want it to do well in all areas no matter what). Heroes? No. Footballers who have a hell of a lot of pressure and are either made or destroyed in just 90 minutes. They should be respected because it requires a lot of skill, and no they may not save peoples lives or go into wars knowing that they may well die, but then not many people on this side of the world these days do. So dont complain about us liking football, and have some pride in your country (what many people have died for), supporting it at all times. If you dont like it then shut up. I dont like military aviation, that doesnt make me go into the military aviation forum and tell everyone I think that, and I respect that others do like it. It just doesnt do anything for me. Football on the other hand is the most popular sport in Europe, and therefore I think you are slightly out-numbered when you guys say you dont give a toss.

Im not an old member, nor am I a new member. I know some of these guys have been here for ages, I have been here for 3 years (ish). I have to agree with dartie here though. I am dreading the day this forum becomes another airliners.net, full of rubbish posts and full of lies. Thats in a way why I dont want more members in here, because the bigger the member list, the harder it is to control, and you can see airliners.net couldnt control that! Keep it to better stuff guys, no rubbish posts (because the few of you who like the rubbish posts ruin it for the rest of us).
