Hand, Im not sure if I understand what you said just there. Are you trying to say that Communism’s theory is good and that it works in practice?
Absolute cobbswabble. I am right wing and this certainly does NOT mean I am nasty. I just want all countries to look after their own. Besides, are you telling me that communism is good (its left wing, and its bloody evil). Yet another stupid coment by all the do gooders out there.
Comet, since according to your profile you are in England, why support France over us? Or are just trying to stir up more tension between us English patriots and the rest?
I cant see England doing that well, considering we coudlnt beat Japan, but you never know with English football. After all, we do have the most exciting league in the world!
Once England are out I dont really mind who wins (I dont want the French to win but that is just because we are neighbouring countries and therefore rivals). I would like to see Germany do well, but again, I cant really see it happening.

Shamrock, I think Easy arent safe too, not just Ryanair. I am anti low-cost carriers all together, not just an Irish one. I agree that I am bound to be more biased towards English airlines because I’m English. But, I would prefer to fly and would recommend Aer Lingus to anyone, certainly not Easyjet.
Yea, look at it, it must be from an aircraft at a higher altitude that we cannot see.
I think what you are reffering to is called a “Scanner”. To be honest you cant go too wrong. I would recommend spending between £100 and £180, depending on how serious you are. You want a Receiver, not a Transceiver (which enables you to talk back and I believe you need a licence for these). Check out any reputable websites (Transair for example).

Aw bless
I have been waiting for this day for a loooooooooong time.
Wys, let me;
Pronounced WIZ-zee-wig. Short for what you see is what you get. A WYSIWYG application is one that enables you to see on the display screen exactly what will appear when the document is printed. This differs, for example, from word processors that are incapable of displaying different fonts and graphics on the display screen even though the formatting codes have been inserted into the file. WYSIWYG is especially popular for desktop publishing.
MINIDOH. Ok, at my last school my brothers nickname was D’OH because he is very similar to Homer Simpson (and for the fools who dont watch the Simpsons here, D’OH is what Homer always says when he does something stupid). With me being very similar to my brother (only i’m much more good looking obviously) I was called MINI – DOH. (The mini version of DOH).
The tail??
Plus Shamrock, I do not trust the authorities. There have been many crashes that could have been prevented had it not been for the incompetence of the authorites.
Shamrock. I HAVE SEEN the Ryanair aircraft, and although you may say this may not be an important piece of equipment or whatever, when I walked around a 733 with the Captain, he showed me the Ryanair aircraft next to it. He pointed out several facts concerning the Ryanair 737, and the one that really caught my eye was the mirror next to the main landing gear. As I am sure you know the mirror is there (to cut a long story short with explaining how it works) to let the pilots know if the landing gear is down. It was completely covered in dirt, oil and muck. Sure you could say that this would not be used in a million flights and that it is perfectly safe to fly with it like that, the fact is that it shouldnt be like that. The mirrors have been needed in the past, whats to say they wont be needed in the future. Now, that was one aircraft out of however many, and you can look at it two ways; I saw the only Ryanair aircraft that looked like it wanted completely rebuilding and cleaning up along with new wires, brake pads… OR, many Ryanair aircraft are like this, are not properly maintained. I am not blaming Ryanair directly, I blame the service workers who are meant to do their jobs properly. But when Ryanair push everything to extremes and cut costs everywhere then something has to give. I will never fly Ryanair, nor will many pilots I know and neither will the pilot who showed me the Ryanair aircraft fly with them. I dont see why many people have to wait until the next LCC crash occurs until they rectify the LCC’s.
On top of this Shamrock, I cannot understand why you suddenly went all up tight. I was not offencive in my post, stop being so petty and stop being personal. If you want to be personal come and join us in the General Discussion forum.
I believe so, but maybe wrong.
Shamrock, can I ask you what good you think has come from Ryanair? The only good thing coming from Ryanair I can think of is enabling poorer people to fly. But by risking their lives and cheating in many ways I cant really understand it. Whats your view on Ryanair?
