Uncalled for Geforce. Respect the dead. Being a Mac’D’s worker (part time, im 16!) its a shame. I had never even heard of him, but its sad.

I dont know about over there but here in England you will be looking to pay around £50,000 + or – a bit. If you mean getting an ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence) which you require to fly passengers for airlines that that is the cost. This is then not activated until you have enough experience as an airline pilot, so it is called a Frozen ATPL.
Just getting your Commercial Licence wont cost much at all, but you need a lot more to fly for an airline. Lots of ratings (IR, Night…) and only when you have all these do you get the ATPL which is needed to fly for an airline.

Its surprising to hear a few Americans being a wee bit cheeky (I apologise if you meant it as a joke). I think you have very little respect for the British. The U-571 film for example just shows this. Throughout the film the people watching think that that was actually all the Americans, it wasn’t, it was the Brits. And yet right at the very end in very small writing it says “This film was based on the British…” But many dont realise it. It is disrespectfull to all of our soldiers who died trying to take U-571.

Fly a non fly-by-wire aircraft before everything becomes fly-by-wire. Preferably a 757. Go through OAT and become a pilot on BA or anyone who is not low cost.

Its because I usually use the commercial aviation forum, and many people on that have it. And besides, someone said it was sad using a long signature like mine, well, we are all sad for using a forum like this.

Is that a joke or not??
And also, BA can’t be the largest airline in Europe!?! I suppose it depends on how you define large. Doesnt Easyjet have more aircraft?

    SNAPPER:
the UK joined the EU in 1972 (ish), Ted Heath took us in and he lied because he said it would only affect trade in which case there was no need because we already had EFTA (European Free Trade Area). Instead we have had a gradual build up to a Federal Europe with a Brussels parliament. Apparently bogged down by fraud with reciprical headquarters not only in Brussels but in Strasbourg and Berlin attempting to tell us what we can and cannot do. Beurocratic, VERY expensive with thousands of jobs for the “boys”. We could easily have a unity of seperate countries retaining their identities but working without trade barriers for the benefit of all.

Geforce, Hastings is not in our memory as much as WWII and WWI, and lets not forget who started them. I do not believe this would happen now or in the near future and I do not believe it is a problem at all, just making a point.

I disagree that the EU makes trading easier. Why? Because many countries do not stick to the regulations. For example the French, it wasnt so long ago (and they still do sometimes) block our meat lorries from going into France. The EU should do something about it. Do they?? NO. And then they wonder why we dont like them.

I agree, I dont think this is Tony’s fault for once. I’ll spare him on this thread. But its British management in general. It stinks to be honest. People dont work hard enough, they want to relax and take it easy… things get into a mess. The bus system that I use to travel to college and home again is a disgrace:
By car it takes half an hour one way, by bus it takes an hour and a half.
The bus is at least 20 minutes late picking me up in the morning.
The bus arrives at colleges at 20 past 9, when it is meant to be there at twenty to nine. And thats if it even turns up. In the past three weeks the bus has not arrived 6 times and been more than an hour late 4 times. This is the FIRST Travel bus service for you. Well done FIRST, but may I suggest a name change as it doesnt suit your reliability at all.
