An excellent report EAL_KING, I’m glad you enjoyed the trip.
Looking forward to reading more of your reports soon. 🙂
One-Two-Go Boeing 757 parked up at Bangkok. This is HS-OTA and it was still parked here early this morning when we departed for London…
A few feet above the runway, about to slam down…
Over Bangkok, 30 seconds or so from touchdown…
Second photo is the winglet of HS-TGZ. The sun really relfects off of it quite strongly…
A380!!, it was excellent. In the next fortnight, we are hoping to book up for our next trip in late October to early November. We’re hoping to go to Hong Kong for 3 nights before going to Thailand. If we do go to Hong Kong, the flights are operated by oneworld; LHR-HKG with British Airways, HKG-BKK with Cathay Pacific and BKK-LHR with Qantas. However, if we settle for just Thailand, it will be Thai Airways again! After our most recent flight, I don’t know if I’m too happy with that!
Anyway, got 6 photos to show. They are pretty much the same. Heathrow was dark and I’m not sure how they would react in Bangkok if I started to take photographs. You’ll have to settle for the out of the window shots! 😀
First up, this is the wing through the window…
Excellent shots.
I like the shadow of the photographer in the 757 shot. Also, with the An-124, are there many of these in service? I saw one once and was blown away by the size of it – I cannot imagine what the 225 is like!!

Unfortunatley some people take it upon themselves to dump their crap there.
Some people also insist on parking their cars in front of you, thinking that they have priority on the little pile of mud! 😀
Seems so long ago, but you could actually rate other members with positive, neutral or negative feedback which was good (sometimes) and a few other smaller features which have slipped my mind completely!
All I can remember is that the older one (in my opinion) was better than the current one.
Just going off-topic Airliner owner, when you fly to Bangkok, where will you be staying? I’m there at the moment, so slightly curious :p
Sounds quite exciting, but not sure why the webmaster has stopped any of us replying to his post
Perhaps to bring back the the features of the old, old forum would be good. Ratings etc.
I’d plant some trees.. there’s not enough near me! 🙂

It would seem that Dublin Airport does not have any facilities set asied by the airport for people like us to watch what’s going on, but paralell to the runway is a which provides exceptional, up-close photo opportunities and viewing, with only a fence in the way.
The aircraft are mostly smaller jets. The Aer Lingus A330s are the highlight of the day, but don’t come or go too often.
If you like Ryanair, then this is the place for you… heaps of -200 and -800 series aircraft to see.
Hello,
Nice photo you’ve posted there. Upon my return, I’ll have at least 5 like that to show, with one very similar one, descending low over Bangkok… seconds before touchdown. 🙂
Hope you had a great day… 😀
