    Thank everyone.
At last I hope you can provide me other proper web site to introduce my proposal.

    I prefer this one:

    Best of luck. 🙂

Post this over on the physicsforums.com site. They have an aerospace engineering forum. This really isn’t the right place for this.

No, but I’ve seen an IL-96 do the same (but only in Russia :().

Even the flameout was cool, eh showtime? ;)-apparently ’52’ is ready to resume flights- YAAY!!

Meanwhile, mystery & confusion deepens over the Izd.129.

This article claims some 20 development examples have (only) been bench tested, but will be prepped for “flight mode specs”- for state tests in 2013

    Wouldn’t the ‘117’ have been state certified aboard T-10 (b/ns 708 & 710)?

Bad reporting and/or miss-quoting, or is this the ‘Type 30’ (‘Izd.129’s ‘beta’)?

I guess to coincide with the production variant of the T-50, which is supposed to be flown in 2013.

South Korea has already bought S-300’s from Russia, and the first stage of their space launch vehicle is Russian, so clearly they are not against buying high tech aerospace parts from them.

An SK PAK-FA? One can dream. 🙂

That would basically entail a redesign of the aircraft. You’d be redesigning a 1960’s era aircraft that’s no longer in production with high airframe hours. Wouldn’t be feasible. You can’t just swap in new engines/intakes.

It is likely single crystal or maybe even CMC. Single crystal blades are nothing new.

    Ero Senin :

Yeah I remember but the “stupidity” didn ‘t last long , fortunatly .

Within 10 years , our Optronics will do the same job than a radar for half the size/weight AND RCS .
Don ‘t forget that visible light (visible for “machines” = IR) travels at the same speed than radar waves and directing the beam(s) with GaAs/GaN MMICs + diodes is the same than using an pure AESA radar .
Ranging wil be done through algorythms based on opticals and ESMs . Very long range LRF (not passive) could be used to fullproof the track if needed .
And If you ask me , building an “Active Cancellation” device against a laser is not an easy task …

    Cheers .

Do you have any sources or more information on Dassault’s optronics suite concepts? Or anything on similar concepts? I think this is quite fascinating and I am interested in learning more. Thanks.

    djcross,

You make an excellent point. However- there is an exception to this rule. If the 4th generation fighter is a receiver for third party targeting information from a UAV or stealth aircraft at high altitude and is equipped with standoff weapons the attacker will retain the ability to destroy targets.

Israel wanted the F-15SE, but export was denied. Keep that in mind here.

2014 will be the time in a hurry, Sukhoi 50 will be not a real 5G fighter untill second phrase engine is fitted in.
If India is eager to 5gen fighter, then to modeficate Tajes inlet to CARET with F414 fitted will be a proper path, if you are able to get F414 indeed.

Are you suggesting that the Tejas is closer to a 5th generation aircraft than the T-50? That’s kinda absurd.

Twin, that system is made for the Su-35. It’s under the Russian Aviation Thread. So I assume the Su-50 (or whatever it is) will get a similar system. :diablo:

Use of Space Time Adaptive Processing in AESA radars can be used for clutter rejection and will help pick up LO targets. This will also work with a PESA radar.

It would be interesting to know how Taranis and nEUROn compare RCS wise with the Boeing Phantom Ray, NG X-47 and Lockmart RQ-170.

I hope Typhoon and Rafale are not the last manned fighters from Europe. There isn’t any next gen fighter engine programme as well.

Sweden is developing a 5th generation fighter.
