The Reds specifically asked for a mid-afternoon slot as they’ve become rather p*ssed off with everyone leaving when they’re the last act.

Shows it’s popular then! 😀
Indian AF I’d say at a quick guess.
A look at Coventry’s airshow this week at Air-Scene UK – better late than never!
The golf course is to the left just out of picture. Look closely and you can see the slip roads. Also remember the picture is eleven years old! Check it out on Multimap
Close – Anglian Water, next to Thomas Cook. And no, I can’t help with your water bill but I can build you a nice sewage treatment works (yuk) – I need a job change!
Well I’ll go to foot of t’stairs. It’s sunny Peterborough, and that’s my office in the top left of the picture from where I’m typing this! The big junction is the Thorpe Wood roundabout on the A47 on the west of the city.:D
What? When on earth was that?!
XR724 was kicked out of the hangars when the airfield was sold off three years ago. The group that own her can’t afford the rent, simple as that. Since 2000 the taxiways and runways have been removed with indecent haste by the farmers, a tragedy of epic proportions given the potential for a historic flying museum site. The control tower was demolished about ’93-’94 after being gutted by fire caused by arsonists. The only crumb of comfort is that the hangars seem to be well looked after with the 5 and 11 Squadron crests recently painted (well, in the last two years).
Many happy memories of the 02 approach, pretending to be revising for exams as the Lightnings did their stuff…
