Well done to the guys at Nanton. I’ve visited a couple of times during trips to Canada and always been impressed by their achievements and support from the local community. They are such a welcoming group too. It’s a shame they don’t have more room to taxi the Lancaster – I assume they manoeuvre it on the space out front of their hangar but with it being adjacent to the main road and not on an airfield it must be challenging! I know there are some videos on Youtube of engine runs but a sight of it being taxied would be good. The story of how they got the Lanc to its present site is fascinating too.

Did you mean the thread I began back in 2008?
My friend who’s photo of the pannier appeared in that thread will be delighted that something has been saved – well done.

You are quite correct, I happen to have a stack of Classic Wings’ leaflets at my elbow, as I was typing, and a touch of brain fade resulted in them being credited with the Rapide flights
Not to worry. I hope you have a super event and that the weather forecast is wrong.
Tim
?.. … We will also have Classic Wings’ Rapide offering flights …. ….
Wulfie
You seem to be confusing two different operators – I think you will find that a Classic Flight Dragon Rapide from CVT is earmarked (Classic Wings is a different organisation based at Duxford). 🙂

The Aero is G-ATBH see: https://www.flickr.com/photos/egbj/6160536094/
IIRC it survives stored down South.
Just remembered, there was a thread on this Forum about that example – see:

I wonder I if it will fly again one day.

Great stuff – it depicts its ferry to the UK, but that wasn’t its last flight.

The aerial photos at the top of the following link I believe show your Jetstream at Elgin after parting out and sectioning at Inverness.

Might this be the Etrich E.VIII Taube Limusina of 1928?
I offered this same one up back in Feb 😮 See post No.98 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/Consul/Quiz_zps20e34374.jpg
At least one Ryan Brougham B-7 (not spelt Broughman) flown by National Airlines certainly had a speedring engine cowl – one is illustrated in “Ryan Broughams and their Builders” a book on the subject by William Wagner published back in 1974. That illustration in the book shows a dark painted example so not the item in your picture. Can’t easily tell if your picture is of a B-7 as distinctive features such as balanced rudder and revised right cabin door can’t be discerned.
Tim
I’ll let this one go open house so anyone can offer one up. 🙂

Parnall Panther. Fuselage hinged to enable shipboard stowage.

Yes it is that 1928 design. Well done!

The Horsa and Waco are going into temporary storage at RAF Cosford, pending transfer over to the RAF Museum when space becomes available – which seems to be a more positive move than going into deep storage at Stafford.
… …
Not sure what conclusion to draw – some aircraft, in particular the RAFM Lockheed Ventura have been in deep store at Cosford for decades.
