Its at times like this I wish I’d listened to what my mother said to me when I was a little boy!

No Baz, it would be the same as in the USA, those with Insurance get the best treatment, those with none still get treated at a “Lesser” Hospital, no one dies, you just get less than better treatment.

..probably in a hospital two counties away….
Jim, I’ve seen this arguement close-up and personnal with the Coastguard and on the receiving end with recent illness. All I can see with your world is a ‘them and us’ society, those with insurance and those without.
As for paying for ‘irresponsable behaviour’, we do already, we voted them in.

Utter rubbish. Health Insurance will not guarantee a level of care for all. Oral H2O does NOT come on prescription. Ah yes, the good old days, when the surgeon did his ward round smoking a cigar, the iron lung was always well maintained and never squeaked, children and adults with learning disabilities had their notes marked with an acronym which stated they were not worth the bother, a significant cause of death in infants was failure to thrive. Yes they really were the good old days weren’t they? And the NHS WAS your helath insurance.

Baz. I think we have yet to determin whether there would be an advantage of NO NHS and having it replaced by Health Insurance.
No one has brought this up YET! but I am sure somewon will, Pete?Jim.

I guess this would help in bringing the population down insofar as the people without health insurance who become ill…………die.:(

I well remember the days, when a Dr. had to ask Matrons permission to go onto her ward, to examine her patients. The GOOD old days.
Its hard enough to see a doctor these days without some dinosaur reintroduced to stop him getting to you.
