Conspiracy theorists are losers, nuts or the mentally ill who get some sort of validation by thinking they know something “special” that no one else knows.

    Totally agree.

Just look up ‘chem trails’ on youtube……prepared to be boggled!

    Thankyou Paul

Yes that does ring a bell!

I think it was a light twin jet passenger aircraft the pilot accidently left a bunch of keys in the forward locker. On take-off they were sucked into the port intake, writing off the engine. He did a single engined circuit and landed back at Plymouth……….he was very upset when he realised what he had done……

Sheffield had no local verification as her UAA-1 kit was off, owing to a comms conflict, and her PWO(A) was goofing, claimed later that he believed Etendard didnt have the reach to get to them anyway and did nothing so, crucially, no action was taken on Glasgows signal.

    ….bet he was popular.

    Really Sad, after 85 years!

Good luck with the films Baz, I will look out for them

    Bill

I will put together at least 10 small films before uploading them, all of which I took there since 1999.

I will use ‘spitfireman’ as part of search engine, the clips are unique and show various aircraft and people with lots of R/T and the odd emergency.

It was painted red for wet drill use only

I used to wear red and yellow helmets when being kicked out of Whirlwinds and Sea Kings in the late 70s/early 80s into the North Sea. I think they standardised to yellow for better vis in the sea, however, I remember being issued a red helmet for use above the snow line in the Cheviots.
I’ve attached 2 pics (1980) of me in the doorway of a Sea King looking rather cold, wet and beat-up (the red one was identical in build quality)

As a member of HM Coastguard a few years later, I was (as a cliffman) issued with the same [manufactured] helmet for rescue work, both yellow and red. These were replaced with a different type around 94ish. The picture (1993) shows me and the poor sod I was rescuing at Watergate Bay, Newquay. Note, next victim on ledge, above!

Last June 2011 I took 3 separate deliveries of wood and coal for this winter, I had negotiated a price and paid with cash, in full, on each delivery.

This morning 2 March 2012, a letter drops on my mat demanding £8.70 from the same people saying I was short of the invoice.

This afternoon I noticed a postman on the cctv, rush to the door and dash back to his van U-turn and head back to Newquay. He left behind a demand for £1.38 on a letter with incorrect payment, £1 of which was handling, so we’re looking at 38p. He drove out from Newquay, without the letter, a journey of 8 miles, 16 round trip to deliver this ultimatum, 14 days or we send it back.
