In my opinion the names of these convicted and executed murderers should be removed from the memorial at Brookwood Military Cemetery.

The opinions that matter most are the opinions of the families of the victims and the opinions of the families of those who were executed; all other opinions are of lesser importance. I’m sure I do not need to say which opinion I think should prevail.

Any talk about possible miscarriages of justice is irrelevant and a distraction from the real issue.

    I’m in.

    ….What he said.

This is where ‘Life’ imprisonment over the death penalty actually works. Hopefully, he is going through a living hell unlike the poor kids he murdered so many years ago. I say force feed him so he can continue in misery and on the bright side (tornado64) if his tenuous conviction is overuled, he can be released back into society:rolleyes:

    win-win

I used to watch them take off at night on patrol while we working in the Quarry next to the runway at Stanley.

    Graham

    THAT WAS YOU!!!

I was the poor sod from Air Traffic who would trapes out to repair the AM2 matting on the 08 touch down area, using a sledge hammer and a pot of resin filler after receiving a good pelting of rocks from the blast from the quarry. On more than one occasion there was a double blast within minutes of each other and I was caught fixing the damage from the first blast, when the second would detonate. Usually not a problem in daylight, one would carefully watch the rocks arch through the sky and simply side step the one that would hit you. However, these were at night and impossible to avoid, the first time this happened at night, I curled up on the ground in the fetal position for the 20 second duration whilst stuff fell around me.( there was a certain feeling of vunerability to this) After the first time I always made sure my Land rover was within easy reach to dive under.

For you GrahamF, a couple of photos of your handywork.:)

I guess its to stop the Argies bringing it back into service for when they take the Islands back/ get given back (delete as appropiate) soon.
Its more modern than what they have and would be one less thing we’d need to shoot down by our Harriers, Phantoms, Tornado F3s, last remaining Typhoon (guns only, no missiles left) off the Carrier, from Ascension air refuelled by our tanker force of Victors, VC10s, last remaining Tristar (if we can afford the fuel), backed up by our elint Nimrod R1, Falkland islander with telephone, covered by SAR Nimrod MR2P, Padstow Lifeboat. We would then send a large fleet of ships comprising of Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers, Amphibious Landing Carrier,, Mine sweepers 1 Destroyer (if available) and the IOW ferry, manned by the latest elite 2 Para 42 Commando Traffic Wardens, a group of fanatics who usually p*ss people off in this country, that will cause serious trouble down south.

How does it glorify war? We didn’t use the F4 to take the Islands back, putting a defunct aeroplane on the gate to an RAF base has been a tradition for a number of years now, does this mean all gateguards are glorifying war?

Makes me smile Makes me laugh Does my head in:(

… and one thing I do dislike is the idea of other regions of the UK being treated as lesser members.

    ….bit like Cornwall.

Once Scotland get their independence I guess Kernow will rise up for their independence, followed by Rutland, Kent and Blackpool.
