    G-AGSH

I remember in the mid seventies an aviation group buying this aircraft and alost rebuilding it.

This aircraft has a lot of connections with Jersey not only in the Mid seventies also when it was one of the B.E.A. fleet operating the Lands End Scilly run and going to Jersey for its checks once in a while.

Nice to see this old girl looking great hope to meet up with her shortly.

    LFEQ and its small runway

A great place to go, been many a time had some club trips there as well.

All the best and a safe weekend.

All who do go from the U.K. remember it is a small hard runway the end of the runway is there to land on.
LDA RWY 12 2133 Feet (Has displased threshold)
    LDA RWY 30 2461 Feet
Unless these figures have changed so before you go check it out in the books ,there is enough runway for the likes of singles and some light twins so all who go have a great and safe time.
    Whis I could make it.

If Tone and his merry men at number 10 can fund the work which is going on in a hangar a Coventry to grate expence to keep the Lancaster PA474 in the air for a number of years to come.
Why not support a Shackleton as well, we are only asking for British Aviation to be kept alive with suppot from the Government who hold the purse.
If some of you out there have not worked it out where did the Shack after all come from yes a modified Lancaster.
So Tone get on the street and do some fund raising for a project to keep the only airbourne example where it belongs in the air flying over the U.K.

Good to see things are going well and we look forward to seeing her in her new atire on the 12th Sept and her support team, we will have the rags at the ready to clean her where required on arrival.

Well done to all in Atlantique engineering as well it is good to see and hear all the trouble to keep this fine aircraft back in the air for a number of years to come.

Shame that Tone and his merry men find it hard to support other aircraft in British aviation to keep them flying we could name one or two.

All the best to the BBMF and every one else that keep PA474 in the air.

Yes the Tristar did operate with a number of restrictions, it could come in with a restricted payload but full going out
Only certain tristars could operate in to the 1706 metre strip due to differant flap setings available on some aircraft.
This was after a bit more research by one of the Trg Captains looked into the operation a bit beeperand found out. from what I can make out.

    Is the Bacon over cooked?

Should some of the route say taken over the ex BAcon routes and no say new routes for Flybe?
What about the old BAcon routes they have dropped should this be showen as well on where they have done the dirty that would paint another picture in the life and times of Flybe.
Will they be able to cope with the late arrivals of the EMB195 aircraft and the flybe getting rid of the Dash 300s and EMB145 it does paint a very nice picture for the next few months at least.

    Flybe getting it wrong?

The Guernsey-Norwich is not a new route how miss leading this information is at what else is wrong.
The Guernsey-Norwhich was operated last year by the Norwich based Dash which operated down to Jersey as well
So Flybe some of the new routes you are talking about is very miss leading to a lot of people.
Should it not read re-introducing for the summer the following routes?

Jersey has had the Boeing 757 pop in for a number of years.
British Airways operated them on the Heathrow service when bad weather affected the island when they operated the Heathrow link.

Monarch operated a series of charters a long time ago for a conferance which sore B757s every other day for nearly two weeks.

One off half term charters can some times bring the Boeing 757 in.

Last week two Asteraus Boeing 757s came in on Monday and returned on Thursday.

The Jet 2 aircraft are due to return to Jersey on Thursday and the following week will see Thomas the Cook on Monday and Thursday with one Boeing 757 on each day.

Jersey might only be a small Island but we do have the odd bit of variaty.

They have come over a number of hurdles over the years.
To keep another great british piece of history flying and it would be very sad if it can,t be kept flying by some one with a penny or two.

    Try the CAA

    alexz33

Try and send an e-mail request to the CAA and they might be able to anser some of the questions of even British Airways if you can find an e-mail address that points you possible in the rite direction.

Well try any thing if you don,t ask you don,t gey but they might know a person would could help.
