The single roads coming out of waddo is always a problem you get into Lincoln then meet the rest of traffic.

Camped locally other year which was a little easier took back roads out and missed lots, but last time went a bit earlier rather than get jammed in.

Whats best finish at 5pm and leave gates open till say 10pm for more to leave not sure.

Build a dual carriageway around the place that might help.:D

What are the rules for bailing out?

Ie your happily flying across a populated area and the engine bursts into flames, do you look for a field point it that direction bail out hope for the best or take her in and chance your luck?

I cannot see where the obsession with allowing it to go abroad is coming from! It was built in Britain – helped in the development of the type into UK military service and the only place where it is truly relevant is in the U.K .

So whilst the arguement stands that money is money – its also perfectly valid that an ATC unit which is funded by the RAF should have some understanding of the relevance of one of the RAF’s aircraft and maybe a desire for it to be displayed in the country were its most apt.

Same can be said for every other British made aircraft that found it’s new home abroad.

The ATC want cash if a overseas bidder pays more than a uk one then let it go just like the spits, hurris, mossie, shud i go on?

    See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistic_Recovery_Systems

    Rescues completed
The first ballistic recovery parachutes were on the market in 1982, and the first deployment was in 1983. Between then and April 2007, over 225 people were aboard 201 aircraft which deployed BRS parachutes; most of whose lives were presumably saved by those parachute deployments.[3]

Thank you for that link it’s made a interesting read, any warbirds have this fitted and if not why not?

Yes a uk sale is fine not to say a overseas bidder wins it and has it collected and sent abroad.

There money is just as good as yours or mine is it not?

Clearly you want top cash for this so why not put it on e bay and open it up to worldwide & should it sell to the usa then you “may” get top price for it, saying you don’t want it to go out of the uk is a bit silly as money is money werever it comes from!

You would be better to crate this up for a sale and you should be willing to do this for top money it’s not hard to do and the buyer pays your costs.

And try a 9 day auction inviting as many as you can plus if possible do a youtube video of the cockpit covering all angles you can and post a link to this for buyers to view, as this seems popular with many items as photo’s don’t always do justice as overseas buyer would like to know what there paying for & so would the uk ones who are unable to travel.:)

Just a idea for a better sale for your van………….:D
