War isn’t fair. One side will always start with the advantage. What does an AESA AWACS do that a traditional one cannot? The E-2T’s be well tasked on that day and be a prime target for PLAAF Flankers.
What % of Iraqi aircraft was able to take off during the first and second Gulf wars? I expect a no bigger % for Taiwan if China attacks. Chinese fighter jets won’t be tasked with fighting Taiwanese fighter jets. Their primary mission would be to guard Chinese missile artilleries targeting Taiwanese infrastructures.
I would be curious to see the results of some F-16 vs. Flanker engagements.
But it won’t be fair. How much of Taiwan’s air bases would be left after the initial missile barrage? Taiwan has no AESA AWACs. F-16s, assuming they can take off, would be at a significant disadvantage from the start.
J-20 = Zumwalt of the skies.
New DF-12 missiles to give Taiwan some more headache. :applause:
Awww look at you, don’t like being proved a hypocrite! You sound hurt! Did you find something with ‘Made in England’ stamped on it and noticed it was better than the rubbish you copy!
China’s Automatic Lunar Surface Exploring Vehicle, which is nuke battery and solar powered and radar equipped, is worth 1 million times as much as a Rolls Royce, which btw, is really a Daimler vehicle. Where’s the UK’s extra terrestrial rover? Oh right, the UK doesn’t have one. :p
So then why does your glorious country find it so important to them to do business with the western world? After all, China are so anxious to follow, or copy, the western way of life. You must be traitors yourselves aren’t you not, following the rotten filth of the western world. *Spit!*
Message to the Moderators! Morons have been banned for a whole let less than this “See you next Tuesday”… get off your ar$es!
Westerners copied Babylonian mathematics. Oh, who’s copying who now, huh? Huh? Thought so! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylonian_mathematics
You’re caught up on language. That alone doesn’t define a people. The UK and America speak the same language (some folks will disagree, but whatever). Are we one nation?
That’s because Americans were traitors. 😡 Guess who fought with Americans against British? French and Spanish and Dutch, the old enemies of Britain. Those who fight with the outsiders against one’s own people are traitors, just as people who fight on the same side of ET invaders are traitors to humanity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Revolutionary_War
Well if we let history be a guide we see that China got the worse of it the last time they jumped on a smaller neighbor. I present the case of Vietnam.
Vietnamese don’t speak Chinese. Taiwanese speak Chinese. China never intended to take over Vietnam.
This isn’t about China fighting the US. This is about China attempting to invade Taiwan and the Taiwanese delivering China a nasty surprise. This is between China and Taiwan. Can you understand that?
Taiwan is prepared to show China that they also have sharp teeth and claws
Yeah right. Probably would last a day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_Kuwait
The US lost over 9,028 aircraft over Vietnam. If the US fights China, it would lose that many aircraft within a month. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_losses_of_the_Vietnam_War
Anyone who thinks 3 Gorges Dam is a tramp card is delusional. Germany manufactured over 1,000 submarines, over 1,000 jet fighters despite daily heavy bombardment. 3 Gorges Dam is a drop in the bucket when it comes to Chinese industrial infrastructure.
Right. You think they are just going to lay down? I don’t think so. Why would they put so much effort and resources into defense. They developed their own fighter plane (with American assistance). That is pretty significant for a small island nation, whereas most of the big European nations are not even doing that (France, excluded, because they are French). Taking Taiwan will not be a walk in the park. It is possible, but not easy…
It’s all over if China topples the existing Taiwanese government and installs a provincial governor in place. What? You think Taiwanese would continue fighting? For what? You see this? http://www.rjlee.org/air/ds-aaloss/ Over 40 American and British planes lost or damaged by crappy Iraqi military. If the US fights China alone, it would lose over 4,000 planes within a month. :dev2:
They will defend themselves. Taiwan can do that just fine.
Yeah right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_Kuwait
UN membership is not a tenet of sovereignty. Besides, the UN couldn’t break-up a food fight.
Who’s going to defend a non UN state if it gets attacked?
Any IRBM launched from Taiwan at the Three Gorges Dam would have to travel over 1,000 km and get attacked by over 100 HQ-9 air defense missiles along the way. Chance of survival is minimal. All of Taiwan’s power plants, on the other hand, can be hit by rocket barrages launched from Chinese shore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_power_stations_in_Taiwan
Voila! They are a country, then! They also mint their own currency. That is a dead giveaway for sovereignty.
I don’t see the Taiwan flag at the UN, do you?
