the state of the Hendon Halifax has been debated at length on here before.
I think it’s disgraceful but other people don’t always agree with that.

They wave figures that look like telephone numbers in the air like it’s petty cash.
The key word here is of course ‘Major Sponsor’, without one it’s a non starter.
So far, no ‘Major Sponsor’ has come forward and it seems to me that it’s unlikely to happen.

One has to ask one’s self what a major corporate sponsor would hope to gain from this, should one be found.

As to a million quid a year to run it.
That’s never going to happen–you need to sell a lot of Tee-shirts to net a profit of £1,000,000.00!!!

Another myth I’m afraid.
Over fifty British (and Commonwealth) General Officers were killed in action in The Great War, which is a much higher figure than WW2 and over twenty of that number were killed by small arms fire, which means they were damned sight closer than your one hundred miles.

And Daz, I don’t need to write the book, it’s already been done.
Turn Yeates’ ‘Winged Victory’ into a film and you’d have a Great War story that’d blow the heads off most of the audience.

Oh, I’ll make sure I see it.
But as usual we get more of the same.
The World can only be sorted out with the help of Americans and with it the type of American who is so dumbed down that an eight year old in Iowa can understand him–just in case the target audience isn’t quite wide enough.
I actually have no problem with a film about the ‘Escadrille La Fayette’ but why does it have to be a re-run of rubbish like Pearl Harbo(u)r and Titanic??
Why not aim it at a more mature audience–does every American film have to be made so that simpletons can understand it?
Doesn’t say much for the World’s only superpower.
Oh and ‘The Patriot’ was complete sh*t too.

I have in my possesion a book in French (for it is such) that gives a history of every French squadron that took part in ‘La Grand Guerre’. It runs to several hundred large format pages. Escadrille 124 “La Fayette” gets two pages (288 and 289)–putting it somewhat in perspective.

My typing skills are not sufficient to get into words what I think of this on just a short piece of trailer.
A Complete load of American Sh*t will have to therefore fulfil what I’d really like to say.
Why not just completely disregard history and make up a fantasy–because that’s what this complete and utter, utter, utter load of b*llocks is.

I’d prefer to see Harry Potter.
