It’s a moot point – respect for those older than ourselves ain’t what it should be. Just glad that I was brought up the right way.

Respect for older people isn’t what it should be, I agree with that.
I’m just not surprised that you don’t see it at airshows.
The collective bad manners of the majority of airshow punters put me off going to the majority of venues years ago.
Sad but true.

Common decency is what makes people give up seats on buses and trains for old and infirm people (veterans or not). As far as I’m aware, fancy radar is not required!

I’d never make the assumption that I’d see any of that from a British airshow crowd.

Legends is so wonderful because it’s a blo*dy good day out!!! This year particularly so – even though the weather was awful for the first half of Saturday.

What, people sitting down and having a spot they turned up early for ruins a show for you???

No ignorance and bad manners just p*sses me off and there’s plenty of that at the modern airshow.

You’re becoming even more grumpy than MikeJ, and even he likes Legends.
Rare aircraft flown in entertaining fashion – if you’re not going to enjoy that, then I think you need a few months off mate!

Mike and I rotate our ‘most grumpy person on the forum’ duties.
As he’s been sent to the colonies for a while I’ve taken over.
I just think the whole weekend is over-rated.
I’m entitled to my view too–well I was last time I looked. 🙂 😉 🙂

Don’t get me started about windbreaks – several occasions of seeing 2 or 3 windbreaks in formation to make a little seating area, COMPLETE WITH TABLE, and an umbrella over the top 😡
Why can’t these people be a little considerate? The only way to counter it personally is to lower yourself to their level and do the same, something which I would never do. Perhaps a mass letter to the IWM might be in order?

These sorts of incidents are enough alone to put me off attending.
I actually fail to see why Legends is so wonderful.

Anyone who needs to raise a question along the lines of this thread’s title has obviously not attended Legends.

I’ve attended loads of them.
I think too many people can see no further than Duxford.
Why not try a few different places next year?

There’s a universal mains rated charger available.
Bought one for my Ipod mini.
It’s got adaptors for American, Australian, European and UK wall sockets and fits I think all Ipods.
Cost about twenty five quid.
Used it in America recently and here in the UK.
