B-17.
Laurent
I’m sorry I don’t have a complete view of the B-17.
Below is the only other B-17 fragment and not very good at all. It does show the codes though.
Sorry
Andy
PS Guess I’ll just have to go there again!!
Thank You All…
Thanks Guys for making these images happen.
This is a really great aeroplane.
Thanks
Andy

Mustang…
Hi James
If it had been the old Airfix 1/24th Mustang with ‘This Is It!’ on the lid I’d have bought it from you and you could have put the money in the pot for good causes.
I’ll buy a ticket or two though.
I’ll try and find a prize too.
I know this isn’t a modelling forum but Trumpeter from China have just recently released a much better 1/24th P-51D.
All the best
Andy.
Sue Ryder..
JDK
Sue Ryder was Mrs Leonard Cheshire.
He started The Cheshire Homes and I think The Sue Ryder Homes are for the elderly and infirm.
As far as the Airfix 1/24th Mustang kit goes, could I ask which aircraft is illustrated on the box lid please?
All the best
Andy. π
Time??
Hi All
I’m probably being thick but what time are we meeting??
Do I need to set my alarm clock early?

I’ve had this on pre-order for a while now.
I don’t think I’ll be going far in late May!!
All the best
Andy:) π π
Merlins Over Malta…
Steve
You’re wrong.
I’ll be at Duxford on the 9th. Yes it is my wedding anniversary but bribes usually work.
(Damned expensive bribes I can assure you!!)
I’ve also promised Mrs Andy in Beds that a visiting Yank will give her a full explanation on May 15th as to the why of my absence on the anniversary of my marriage. Over to you on that one Steve.

Weather God…
If anyone has a hotline to the weather god.
Nows the time to put in a request for May 15th.
It’s rained non stop here today.

May 2nd and 15th.
Robbo and Mike J.
Yes Iβll be there May 2nd.
I reckon Mr Patterson might well have an interesting Sunday getting back to Heathrow and Kansas City after weβve primed him with Old Speckled Hen for a few hours.
As far as being allowed out and brownie points go.
I do all the cooking here anyway so Iβm always well stocked with a positive number of those.
May 1st sees the next unit of Mrs ‘Andy in Beds’ degree course starting so Iβll probably be asked to leave the house for long periods of the summer to give her some peace and quiet.
She will be attending on May 15th though. Itβs a Psychology degree and she says Aviation nuts make an interesting case study!!βAny idea what she means???????
All the best
Andy

Forum Meet….
Wow,
this meeting is getting to be big.
Seeing as Airbedane has started this thread specifically about May 15th.
Can we have a quick count up of how many of us are intending to be there?
So far we have Airbedane, Robbo and Papa Lima as well as myself and Mrs AiB.
(she loves the pictures of last week, Robbo, MoF and Damien by the way)
So far then with my limited arithmetic we have five.
How many more?
Andy
May 15th
Airbedane
thanks for your kind offer of a PA anouncement.
16.00 hrs sounds good to me.
Don’t let Steve Patterson near the Sea Hurricane–I think he’ll try and escape back to the colonies with it!
Last week was a great week.
I haven’t enjoyed myself that much for a long while.
It realy blew the Winter away–at last!
Keep up the good work.
Andy

Bader Books..
Hi all
Unfortunately the last part of the article would have covered the time that DB was shot down.
However, I did a search on ABE-Books last night and found that Dilip Sarkar might have written/published three Douglas Bader books.
One as sort of photo gallery and another about the Tangmere Wing and possibly a third about the Duxford Big Wing.
All these appear to be getting a bit pricey second hand so before I purchase any of them. Does anyone know if theyβre any good??
Thanks in Advance
Andy
PS Kev35 was there a JJ article publishes as well? I don’t have any of this piece.

Nieuport 28
My Nie 28 deflected the needle further on the Decibel meter than a Spitfire’s Merlin.
