    There would seem little point in the flypasts if nobody knows when they are going to fly over ?
    They will probably leave it to the last minute.
    Then I expect people will complain if they don’t keep to the route shown. Due to having to avoid any bad weather.

    The small “TICK” boxes within the paperwork had small boxes, and all the ticks made by the applicant MUST be within the confines of these boxes,

    One of the advantages of getting it checked at the post office. When we showed our completed forms to the
    woman on the counter, she pointed out that my wife’s signature was just touching the edge of the box, so
    advised doing it again.

    Usually does wingovers which can look like a roll

    I had a friend who would stamp like a petulant child, when I suggested the Vulcan went inverted.

    “NO IT DOESN’T, IT’S A WING OVER” he would cry.

    It looked pretty inverted to me 🙂

    16.44 over Duxford

    Driving back from a weekend near Sheffield today. Drove past Duxford at around 1:30pm.
    Would have stopped, but with had the mother in law with us. 🙁

    Photo ID can be a problem. All I have is a bus pass.

    I’m surprised a few people haven’t already helped themselves to a few bits.
    Then again, they probably have.

    Does the wreck actually belong to anyone ? Not the local authority I would have thought, as it’s
    below the high water mark. The way I see it, the only ones who could lay any claim, are the US
    authorities, and I doubt they are interested.

    It then deserves to have the same treatment that the Dornier has received -then have her in the AAM with a display showing the recovery and conservation of her.

    The Dornier had the attention it received because of it rarity. I don’t see anyone with deep enough pockets to
    lavish that much attention on a rotting P-38.

    A “scheduled ancient monument”. Hardly !!
    It’s also not exactly (as far as I am aware) a rare example of a P-38.
    Just let a local aviation archaeology group dig it out, and do whatever they like with it.

    To be quite honest, I take anything this individual comes out with, with a huge pinch of salt.
