Alan, You certainly must have been. There were two guys to my left and we had a little natter, was one you?
I was probably the one in the middle, if that was you using a Canon with the light grey lens. The other chap I was talking to
was from Southend, and knew a few people I know. It’s a small world. I shall be there with my wife on Friday, although the
weather looks iffy in the afternoon.
Nice pictures as ever Brian :eagerness:
Some of the Spitfires came down to the ARC hangers. Several had gone by and N3200 was approaching when the engine stopped and she coasted to a halt right in front of us.
You must have been standing right next to me when you took that Paul ? (#2159)

I love this.

The last last flight will not be announced till after its done so as to keep the crowds away and anyone in the know will have an invite but sworn to secrecy. There is no where to put anyone except Old Bawtry Road, thats my guess anyway
In these days of social media, is it possible to keep anything secret ?
A lot depends on what you want in the way of features.
A valuable asset at airshows and other events. Just to keep track of what’s going on. Lots of things the
commentators don’t pass to the public.
Is it really that significant in RAF history ?
It’s certainly significant to the people who have enjoyed seeing her fly.
Thankfully on Tuesday, the heavy clouds that came over at the end of the day, dumped their contents just to the north of Duxford.
They gave a nice backdrop though, to the landing aircraft.

No doubt this has been mentioned elsewhere ?, but if it has I couldn’t find it.
The Vulcan is (allegedly) to do another farewell tour on the weekend of 10th-11th October.
Anyone know more ?
Somebody asked for a picture of a Hurricane.

Another great day at Duxford, eventually.
It stayed dry too.
A long wait at Duxford, but it was certainly worth it. Four sections flew over and landed.
Just need to sort pictures out now.
Looks like being a long day. 🙁
A-10 is outside. They are just finishing hanging the U-2 by the looks
of it.
Duxford weather ok at the moment. 11:55
Thanks for that. Off to Duxford shortly
